QUINCY, Mass. —When a 5-year-old Quincy boy saw his father breaking the law, he wasn't going to let the scofflaw get away with it. Robert was out for a drive with his dad on Saturday when he saw his father run a red light. Robert dialed 911 to report the crime. "My daddy went past the red light," Robert explained to the dispatcher. "It was in the brand new car, my mommy's car, and we had to go to the car wash, and then he went past the red light." The boy then put his father on the line. "I have to apologize … my 5-year-old son," Robert's father told the dispatcher. "He said you ran a red light," the dispatcher said. "Oh, no. I apologize," the father said. This time, dad got a reprieve. "No problem, as long as everything is all right," the dispatcher said. Listen to 911 call here:

He may be on fast-tracked for the apprenticeship. Wait till his dad gets shot for having a broken tail light or the kid gets busted selling lemonade without a permit. I remember reading accounts of German youth ratting out their parents that made fun of Hitler. Wonder how many of them later regretted doing that?

Yeah - I can understand … No, you don’t. You don’t understand diddly squat about anything other that what you WANT to do and you always think that it is right. You don’t understand that running a red light is the cause for the deaths of more than 800 people and an estimated 200,000 injuries in the US each year. That irresponsible bastard could have killed himself, which could have been okay because of his negligence, but he could have killed his young son along with your and your family. Think about that for a moment. The kid is “smart” because his father will no doubt think twice before he ever runs another red light. Furthermore, each time he even sees a red light, he should say … thank you, Robert, for possibly saving our lives. You still don’t get it … do you?
Fair point. But there's nonchalantly blowing through a red light without slowing down or checking cross-traffic, on one hand - and on the other hand, there's coming to a complete stop, carefully checking cross-traffic, and then proceeding through a still-red light (which still leaves you no beef if you get caught and ticketed) - and every point in between. I don't think we should be too eager to welcome a society where kids snitch on their parents. A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them. I believe that police don't give traffic tickets out solely based on the words of non-police witnesses. I have seen this type of thing before on the internet, Red light cameras here actually encourage me to run red lights that don't have them
Actually, the father admitted to breaking the law and apologized to the 911 dispatcher. This young boy is more honest than daddy and not a scumbag like you. I bet that boy would kick you in your Ron Paul sized pea-nuts if he heard you bitching about him doing the right thing.

Your obsession with Ron Paul and men's testicles aside, the kid is a snitch. He could have just said something to his dad instead of dialing 911 and reporting him. Maybe in Nazi Germany that's doing the right thing. Or maybe in Trump's vision of Amerika, we will see more kids ratting on their parents. Apparently they are smarter than the prison guards if they can smuggle drugs in. Actually, they are quite dumb. I'm heading back in to work because they are stupid enough to ask their not incarcerated babies momma to smuggle in drugs during tonight's late contact visit, OVER RECORDED PHONE LINES ON THE BLOCKS.
