National Review’s Kevin Williamson believes Donald Trump’s appeals to the white working class are “immoral” because that demographic’s way of life deserves to die out. In a featured article for the prestigious conservative journal entitled “The Father-Fuhrer,” Williamson seeks to rebut criticism that he and other conservatives don’t articulate any policies that would appeal to Trump’s blue collar supporters. Williamson, a long-time critic of The Donald, essentially agrees that he doesn’t support any policies or rhetoric directly tailored to the working-class — particularly about jobs being taken by outsourcing and immigration — because it would be wrong to do so. “It is immoral because it perpetuates a lie: that the white working class that finds itself attracted to Trump has been victimized by outside forces,” the NR roving correspondent writes. “[N]obody did this to them. He then goes on to make the conclusion that it’s great these communities are dying out because they have a warped morality and are a dead weight on the economy. “The truth about these dysfunctional, downscale communities is that they deserve to die. Economically, they are negative assets. Morally, they are indefensible,” the conservative writer says. “The white American under-class is in thrall to a vicious, selfish culture whose main products are misery and used heroin needles. Donald Trump’s speeches make them feel good. So does OxyContin. What they need isn’t analgesics, literal or political. They need real opportunity, which means that they need real change, which means that they need U-Haul. In one February article, he said that this class is made-up of “economically and socially frustrated white men who wish to be economically supported by the federal government without enduring the stigma of welfare dependency.” He also claimed that their interests have no place in the “mainstream of American conservatism” and, in a follow-up post, said that the only message conservatives should give them is “get a job.” (RELATED: The Demographic Not Wanted By The Conservative Establishment) While Williamson blames the people living in run-down white communities for their own woes, he does not apply the same principle to run-down minority communities. In his book and articles on the failures of Detroit, for instance, the National Review writer blames “progressivism” and unions for ruining the predominately African-American city.
This article shows the arrogance of the elitists in both the Democrat and Republican(GOPe) parties. These rich, privileged snobs look down upon working people who actually produce useful goods, and want to work and do not want to be beggars living off the .gov. Kevin Williamson is just another dysfunctional downscale Liberal that only adds dead weight to intelligent discussions.

His attitude is the reason socialist revolutions happen. There are always more poor people than rich people, and the rich people in fact DO have the obligation - religious, moral and self-interested - to be very concerned about the suffering of the poor. When the rich take the "Let them eat cake" attitude of Williamson, the overweening sense of superiority and judgment, they always find themselves facing a firing squad or a guillotine. That's the way it is. So, if Williamson wants to make sure that rich people die, he should soldier right one with his Marie Antoinette approach. "Let them eat cake" bought her a blade through the neck. That's the way the real world works. Socialism is bad? Maybe. It's also avoidable - IF the capitalists auto- redistribute more of their wealth. If they won't do it voluntarily, the result is imposed by armed force, sooner or later. Time was that Christianity helped keep all of that in check, but Christianity is fading. "Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich." - Napoleon.

All you are do is changing the name of your master but not your master. From "crony capitalist elites" to "socialist". They are harming the average joe through misguided and over burdensome federal government laws and regulations in the name we must help people. They keep using "you must help your neighbors" and since you are not helping all your neighbors "we the people" will have to take everyone's paycheck and redistribute it as we see fit because "you stupid inbred peasant are not helping enough"! Once you understand government you will want it to be as small as possible!

Nope. I do not agree with Kevin either. I am anti socialist which means im anti crony capitalist. I am pro Christian, pro America and pro small government person. I believe people should have all the power and government is to protect the average joe not the the 5% top or bottom.
