HOLLAND, MI -- A Benton Harbor man has been convicted of driving under the influence of marijuana when he caused a Holland Township crash that killed a passenger in his car. A jury this week found Kenyada Hornes, 37, guilty of operating while intoxicated causing death, following a two-day trial. The crash killed 26-year-old Nickie Thomas, of Benton Harbor.
Authorities said Hornes had marijuana in his system. Alcohol was not a factor.
