I have not visited the salt mines, but I know Salzburg and Austria very well. I was stationed just East of Salzburg for 2 years. Starting in 1965, My wife I visited Europe for a month almost every summer for 20 years, spending the majority of the time in Austria. The lake area, Salzkammergut , in the Alps below Salzburg is one of our favorite spots.
Probably 12. I remember it good though.
I remember waking around somewhere in Austria. There were lots of statues of Kings.
We skied (did I spell that right) somewhere in Salzburg when we were there on vacation. Amateur little hill skiing.
Actually probably 11 now that I think about it.
Kitzbuehel is probably one of the best skiing areas. My sister-in-law spent time there each winter for many years.
