Singer Sinead O’Connor has been reported missing and police believe she is suicidal. O’Connor went out on a bicycle ride on Sunday morning in Chicago and never returned leading someone to call authorities to report her missing. The police department released a statement saying they are attempting to check the well-being of the singer. The “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer went on the ride in the suburb of Wilmette. Her outfit was described as a black parka, black leather pants and a sweatshirt with “Ireland” on the backside. She was last seen on a Raleigh motorized bike with a pink basket, TMZ reported. Disturbing note posted on Sinead O’Connor’s Facebook account The alert also classified the Irish artist as “missing suicidal,” according to TMZ. Singer Josh Groban tweeted about O'Connor's well-being after learning that she was missing. "There is only so much any woman can be expected to bear," she wrote. "What was done to me this week was appalling cruelty." "The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I'm at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name." Hours after the post, she was discovered and received medical attention. The post was one of many detailing her struggles, especially pertaining the custody battle with Donal Lunny over their 11-year-old son, Shane. Sinead O’Connor threatens suicide again on Facebook She spent the next few weeks in the hospital and continued to post to Facebook that her family wouldn’t be there for her and hardly visited. O’Connor previously attempted suicide on her 33rd birthday in 1999 and shared with Oprah Winfrey in 2007 that was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She attempted to take her life again in 2012 and then sought help. Her most recent Facebook post was on Sunday morning — just a few hours before she was reported missing — where she called for her 28-year-old son Jake to go to court and take custody of her son, Shane, involved in the custody battle. “Expect to be in trouble,” she wrote. “And do not abandon your brother or any other of my babies again. What you have done to your brother and your mother is LITERALLY criminal.” Poster Comment:
"Hoping for Sinead O'Connor's safe return," he wrote. "The demons she battles are no joke."
In November, O’Connor posted a harrowing message to Facebook.

I have a lot of sympathy for her. She has been a mental basket case her whole life,and that's not something I would wish on anyone. I'm just wondering how whacked out her child's father is that he has to take her to court and let a judge determine who should have custody. Does he actually howl at the moon and chase cars? Yes '40's vintage, a rubber buttpad is nice. Also a 2A1 7.62 NATO Ishapore, India (1965) that's been cut down to a fake Jungle Carbine and still has a naked brass buttplate. As far as I remember the recoil didn't seem as bad for some reason. I was shooting milsurp 7.62 NATO in stripper clips. Ishapore 2A1 PING! Above^^^
Thanks for the update... I'm glad that she's safe and sound... These stories have tragic endings all too often, it's a relief to have a happy ending every now and then.
Well,for one thing the 762 Nato is slightly less powerful,and shows a bullet a lot lighter. For another,the jungle carbine has a rubber butt pad,and the stock is shaped slightly different so it doesn't recoil straight back into your shoulder. BOYCOTT PAYPAL AND CLOSE YOUR PP ACCOUNTS NOW! I don't think that the Ishapore has any real Jungle Carbine parts on it, it's a cut down 2A1 with an aftermarket flash suppressor/bayonet lug/F sight added. The metal on that piece is real soft, and the front sight tends to loosen in the V groove. The really bad thing about it is that the sight radius is about 16" or so with the cut down barrel and the rear sight up forward on the barrel. The fake Jungle Carbine thing is something that Gibbs, or someone else did. It came with an add on rail/rings which was half broken. It has a lip on the front which hooks into the chamber, and a couple of screws to tighten against the charging bridge in the rear. Over-tighten those screws and the lip in front starts to break and peel off. I just use the crappy ramp sight. In spite of that, I like the thing! Have you ever seen an Indian SMLE converted to .308 that the Indian government had all of the internal metal parts painted to preserve the parts? Getting the parts back to the original condition must be a real bear.

The 2A and 2A1 were made of different steel specifically to be 7.62 NATO. Also the extractor, ejector screw, and charging bridge slot were designed for that model. They're not converted. Here's some YouTubes from a guy who stripped his down with acetone and paint stripper and "restored" it to what he wants, which is something it never was, his own Mil Spec... There are 5 parts to this video, so just keep following. Thanks, the videos should be helpful. The one I had looked like a problem to restore. I say had because I have no personal possessions now as I gave legally everything to my wife. The government is looking for every excuse to take over such personal possessions of former military. I joke around saying I have to get my wife's permission to change my underware, but it isn't too far removed.

Hate to be Captain Obvious,but have you had the head space checked on that rifle? If not,do NOT fire it again until you have it checked and found to be within normal ranges. I know a lot of them were converted to 7.62 Nato,but had no idea they were painted. Never actually seen one,though. The only SMLE I have left is a regular issue WW-2 SMLE someone cut the stock on and installed a jungle carbine flash suppressor. I think I got it for 35 bucks,and that's the only reason I bought it.
