Trump: Banning Muslim immigration is 'just a suggestion' May 11th 2016 10:47PM Remember when Donald Trump called for "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our representatives can figure out what the hell is going on" during a campaign event? Well, that proclamation was apparently just a suggestion. In a Fox News Radio interview, Trump slightly backed away from a policy he's stood by for months: A blanket ban on Muslim immigration. Trump told Brian Kilmeade: "It's a temporary ban. It hasn't been called for yet. Nobody's done it. This is just a suggestion until we find out what's going on." And later on FOX News, Trump said: "That's why it was temporary. Sure, I'd back off on it. I'd like to back off on it as soon as possible because, frankly, I'd like to see something happen. Poster's note:If he doesn't know what's going on at this stage of his campaign, he's asleep at the switch. Tell him to call me and I'll tell him. That son of a bitch is beginning to sound more like Obama and Hellary every day. I don't need or want that. He's turning out to be nothing but a fence straddling bull shitter.

He's campaigning to win the election, and now that he has secured the R nomination, has to appeal to the D voters.
Of course, that's what it was. Even if he was president, he would have no authority to ban Muslims. It was just a point that members of that scumbag religion need to be thoroughly vetted.
Obama has played at being a president while enjoying the perks … golf, insanely expensive vacations at tax-payer expense. He has ignored the responsibilities of the job; no plans, no budgets, no alternatives … just finger pointing; making him a complete failure as a president

Robert, I share your frustration. Some times, Trump makes some very good, logical positions. Then, turns around and takes some really dumb ass positions.

Much like with his tax plan and minimum wage Trump just said that to get GOP primary votes, so he and his manager can brag now about how many votes he got. ...so now other Republicans must bow to the almighty Trump who got so many votes. Given that it worked and the others all gave up, now those promises can all be abandoned for new ones more popular with non-Republicans. Heck, do Trump-kins care about anything he promises relating to policy anyway?
