Opinions/Editorials Title: Socialism is the creed of ignorance Socialism is the creed of ignorance by DON WEST Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. Winston Churchill The platform of some of those campaigning for the office of President of the United States leans heavily on the belief that America would be better off economically under socialism than we are under capitalism. The trouble with socialism is eventually you run out of other peoples money has been attributed to Margaret Thatcher. Lenin stated that the goal of socialism is communism and Karl Marx quipped that democracy is the road to socialism. One would assume that those seeking the most powerful office in the world would be smart enough to have learned lessons from history, but it appears some refuse to see the writing on the wall. Socialism is slavery and the Democratic Party is leading their potential voters down the path to that very end communism, dictatorship and slavery. Open your eyes and look at the IRS and tell yourself we are not slaves to the system that takes from those who produce and gives to those who do nothing. Socialism is the creed of ignorance ignorance in the denial that socialism has never been successful as an economic platform. Socialism cannot sustain itself because those who produce will lose the desire and drive when the fruits are taken and given to those who will not produce. Those who only consume do nothing to sustain, therefore the fruits will disappear along with those who produce. The ignorance also shows its ugly head in the great unwashed because they continue to believe that government can and will provide from cradle to grave. Socialism is the gospel of envy that encourages the lazy to be jealous of those who have achieved and deem financial inequality is unfair instead of seeing that the inequality is about effort. Those who make an effort to achieve are rewarded and those who dont make the effort are encouraged to whine and complain about their plight in life. Socialisms virtue is the equal sharing of misery. If a capitalist wants to own a gun, he works for it, buys it and cares for it. If a socialist doesnt want a gun, he whines and tries to eliminate all guns and the right to own them. If a capitalist runs a successful business and reaps the rewards of hard work, the socialist deems that financial inequality and insists the government take from the rich to give to the poorer. The socialist doesnt want opportunity to succeed, but only the opportunity to take what is not theirs. Though I would certainly concede that there exists dishonest business owners and managers, the truth is most are honest, ethical and fair. They are the creators of jobs, opportunities, and paths to success and they must surround themselves with good people in order to be successful. If they achieve those goals, should they not be rewarded instead of denigrated for their achievements? Where would we be without the technology wonders of today? We could not have achieved what we have without those who took a chance and risked everything. Many like Bill Gates have provided and shared opportunities and those who wanted, took advantage and bettered themselves. Disregard the whiners they are simply the uninspired, the slothful, the people who think they are owed something just because they exist.
