That is the easiest way to tell you the Christian viewpoint on death and the Rapture of the Church. Many don't believe in the Rapture, but the sermons do explain it. I had a friend who was born on the very same day as I. He died at the age of 21 of a heart condition. None of us know how long we will live. I will pray for your friend. The "rapture of the church" is a misnomer as it does not refer to the Church itself but to the corpus of Christians. I am talking about people, specifically Christians, and, in the context of the article which asks "What Happens to Christians Who Die?. I was mocking the question. All people die {or are radically changed}, including Christians referred to in described in 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17: "The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the archangel's call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall always be with the Lord." In this context the question is nonsensical. Dead Christians will rise and be joined by the then living Christians both being transformed to a different existence. To: SOSO (#18) I know you were mocking the question. There are many mockers. The Church Age will be finished at that point. The Church itself, the invisible Church, is the body of believers. There will be people saved after the end of the Church Age, but they are slated for the Tribulation Period. The Church won't be on Earth for the Tribulation Period.
