Thousands-Arrested-in-Michigan-for-Pot-While-the-Governor-Remains-Free-for-Poisoning-Entire-City

Michigan residents can rest assured because, despite the massive lead contamination of Flint’s entire public water supply, the State has its priorities on point as the government continues doggedly pursuing criminals of the highest order.

No, not Governor Rick Snyder, of course — nor anyone else potentially responsible for poisoning an entire city’s population with lead — We’re talking about those awful medical cannabis users and pesky recreational pot smokers.

In fact, while well over half of Michigan residents support ending cannabis prohibition, before public education campaigns about potential tax benefits have even kicked off, including 74% of those under 30 years of age and a surprising 51% of those over 60, according to the Detroit News. But arrests for its possession and use are skyrocketing — up 17% between 2008 and 2014, according to state police data, reported MLive.

Even more astonishingly, this increase in pot arrests occurred at the same time total arrests for all crime fell 15%. Two-thirds of all drug arrests were related to weed in 2014 — of which 86%, or 20,483, were for use or simple possession of the plant.

Such targeting of medical and recreational users by police — Michigan law strictly regulates weed for those with “debilitating medical conditions,” only — has led to a number of outrageous cases in recent times.

A state appeals court recently upheld the conviction of 47-year-old medical cannabis caregiver, Alenna Marie Rocafort, in a stunning case about legal technicalities gone horribly awry.

Police raided the caregiver’s home in September 2012, seizing 5.6 pounds of the plant she was using to treat seriously ill patients.

The courts found this amount far exceeded the 2.5 ounces of “usable” marijuana per patient that caregivers are allotted by law to grow.

However, Rocafort’s 5.6 pounds of plant had only been harvested four days prior to its seizure by police, which experts claim is far short of the 10 days it takes harvested pot to properly dry and become viable for use.

Defense attorneys thus justifiably argued the caregiver’s weed wasn’t “usable,” so, not illegal — but the case has been lumbering on, wasting taxpayer money to quibble over a definition about a plant which most people don’t view as an illicit substance in the first place.

According to MLive, 21 cities in Michigan have brought legalization or decriminalization measures to a vote; and 15 of those cities — including Detroit, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Lansing — have approved various decriminalization initiatives.

In September, state Rep. Jeff Irwin introduced a bill — now backed by six additional representatives — to end cannabis prohibition (HB 4877), which would treat the plant as regulatory, akin to alcohol. Additional legalization measures may wind up on the November ballot if two groups are able to gather enough signatures in time, which now seems highly likely.

In short, it seems almost the only people in the State of Michigan who want the prosecution, criminalization, and general prohibition of cannabis to continue are the police and the criminal justice system — the same police and system which have yet to bring charges against anyone for poisoning an entire city.

As The Free Thought Project reported in December, Governor Rick Snyder has knowingly allowed children, the elderly and other vulnerable people to face potential lifelong effects of being poisoned by lead in his refusal to investigate contamination claims by Flint residents months ago.

They will suffer for the rest of their lives due to his criminal neglect — but, at least, the State is keeping them safe from the numerous benefits of cannabis and the dangerous caregivers who ensure their patients aren’t suffering.

It’s time to end the War on Drugs and start to pursue the criminals who deserve to be behind bars — and Michigan would do well to consider Gov. Snyder as a target. (1 image)

Deckard is always looking to find something wrong with anything involving any type of government or compliance to rules and regulations.

And Gatlin refuses to condemn ANY crimes, cover-ups or outright corruption by those in power, including cops who rape kids.

That is a gross misrepresentation and wholesale distortion. I condemn all those things. Unlike you, I condemn them after a trial by a jury that finds a guilty verdict. Rather than like you reading an article with biased or incomplete information … then pulling an opinion of guilty outta your ass.

the 10 Most Common Signs and Symptoms of Autism.

1. Peculiar Toy Habits

While to you, the photo may just look like some colored sticks; to an autistic child this is a work of art they’ve mastered for hours.

2. Trouble Relating to Others

Autistic children are by no means anymore rude, obnoxious, argumentative, or fussy over any other kid having a moment of misunderstanding. They do however, face challenges grasping to a common ground with their peers, siblings, and even their parents. Remembering that autism is a social disorder, this makes total sense that they struggle making human connections, bonds, and having friends.

Some people see “what they WANT to see.” You are a classic representation of one who does that.

I am in the five percent class … while you are at the bottom of the eighty-five percent group.

You must find time to improve your intellect, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance forever.

3. Sensitive to Sounds

Not all, but the vast majority of autistic kiddos have an issue with sounds. They either are completely uninhibited by loud noises, or noise is their worst nightmare. More are on the side of hating noises, but some have the ability to entirely block it out. This can be great for when they need to sleep, or focus in a noisy atmosphere for those that aren’t bothered by noises, but it can also be very dangerous when they aren’t attentive to alarms, cars, or other warning signs around them.

4. Struggle with Change

Autistic boys and girls absolutely adore a routine. It doesn’t have to be militant, it just has to be structured as that is what makes them most at ease when they know what to expect. If you are changing classes at school, moving from lunch to reading a book, or removing an iPad to go take a bath; you could very well have a tantrum on your hands in no time. While this can be trying for parents and teachers, keep in mind that knowing generally what their day looks like helps these children stay calm, and confident to complete their tasks for the day.

5. Speech or Nonverbal Delays

A very big warning sign for parents early on in the stages of autism is that their children are very behind for their age in speaking, or they don’t speak at all. Most little ones have a pretty vast vocabulary by the age of three years old, and just by visiting your pediatrician regularly parents have a good idea where their kids sit with this piece of development.

6. Hyperactive or Passive

A lot of guys and girls with autism have difficulties with their activity level. Many find it hard to sit still, they fidget repetitively, or have body movements such as rocking or flapping their hands. Often, these movements are just a function that makes them feel calm in any situation and do no harm to them. Some are super hyperactive, and others are completely passive and can hang out quietly all day long. Again, no two kids are the same, nor should they be, but speak with your doctor if their hyperactivity is too much as medication can greatly help.

7. Attached to Objects

Every little one has something they adore at some point in their life. It could be a teddy bear, a blanket, anything. Autistic kids do this as well, but can also become attached to objects you least expect like pencils for example. They may wish to have these “comfort” items with them always, when they sleep, when they eat, or when they are going outside of the home.

8. Lack of Safety

Many children on the spectrum experience a lack of understanding what situations place them into harm’s way. Everything from swimming pools, to crossing streets, to not grasping that something it hot and they shouldn’t touch it. Always be fully aware of your child’s development in this area as they can truly hurt themselves even with something as commonly used as scissors at home.

9. Inappropriate Emotions

Autistic children tend to laugh at very inappropriate times, or they cry when you may least expect it. If another child in their presence is sad or has been hurt, these kids may appear lacking empathy by giggling for reasons they honestly have no idea why they’re laughing. Often when they cry or even smile at inopportune times it is because the subject matter or situation makes them nervous, so they react in any way they think is acceptable. It may look terrible, but it isn’t by any stretch done with malicious intent.

10. Aloof

These complex kids generally prefer to be by themselves. They are loners by choice, they may play in the same room with other kids, but if you observe them closely they will play next to their peers, but not with them. While most children would be saddened by not being surrounded by playmates, kids on the spectrum are oblivious to it most often than not.

Autism should never be treated like a horrible illness, because it can be enlightening for hundreds of families. These children are incredibly wise, they usually have a unique skill set, and can very interesting people to spend your time with. Before you self-diagnose your children, always have them fully evaluated with a specialist in this field, and try out various types of therapies to see which areas your child can find success with and what things you need to avoid to keep them healthy, safe, and content.

[G:] It was the stanky bud that pushed him over the edge.
[CF:] Should we ban for all adults everything that might push a mentally unstable person over the edge?
[G:] Of course not
[CF] Then why the double standard for stanky bud?

Read your question again.
You asked: “Everything.”
I answered: “Of course not.”
… not EVERYTHING.

It was a poorly worded question … and probably q poorly worded answer. I believe that you are asking my position on MJ. Assuming that you are, I will try to answer as briefly and directly as I possibly can.

I really don’t know how I would vote on legalization of marijuana. However, I could decide when the time came. I believe that legalization is a “states right” issue … I am a big “states righter.” And I readily accept the action by the voters in any state that makes the choice to permit the use of marijuana. That is not noble of me, that is facing reality and fully respecting democracy in our republic.

I have not (that I can remember … and if I did, I would need to make a clarification) ever said that MJ should be banned. You somehow picked that up in my posts and I would surmise that you probably read that into my statements.

The simple fact is that I have grown tired of the nonstop Marijuana propaganda that is being shoved down our throats on a daily basis. Consequently, I have developed the attitude and approach against the overbearing pothead advocates the same way I turned against the Paultards, when I originally supported many of his ideas and may have voted for him. (This position is not unique to me … I have read it often times).

I could keep on, but I will not in the sense of brevity. I trust you understand my position and I thank you for your respectful exchange. I will be pleased to answer any direct question. I am kinda like Trump (and I feel he is not a bad person to be kinda like) … in that I only lash out against those who lash out at me first. They seem to never want to know my position, they obviously only want to express great animosity against me for expressing my personal opinion and always initiate the name calling and insults.

I don’t recall anyone of these posters who want to override, overshadow and suppress my opinion … ever asking me to clarify my position so they could understand where I am coming from. You have done that. You are the first … and I thank you for this and your courtesy.

We are new to exchanging posts. There is some information I would like to share with you. I am a speed reader and key as quickly as I read. I have many things to do, including being a volume day trader in the market. I have a number of computer screens open and I post on LF between buy and sell orders. I never take time to proof read … I have other things waiting for me to do. I offer this information to you not as an excuse … just to help clarify my posting techniques.

FYI; If legalizing alcohol were the point topic instead of marijuana and the alcohol advocates were as overbearing, I would make the same posts about alcohol as I do marijuana.

With respect,
Gatlin

You won't accomplish anything useful with regard to "overbearing pothead advocates" by, for example, citing driving-while-stoned deaths as evidence against "the argument that marijuana doesn't hurt anybody" when such deaths are no less evidence for cars hurting people.

A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them.

That's rich. What's your credentials? You spent a few days under the network CEO's desk to get a job in journalism?

Then that arrest by those bad bad terrible cops ended your career. lol

I'm the infidel... Allah warned you about. كافر المسلح

Whats wrong with marijuana?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with marijuana … I never said there was. It’s just an Indian hemp weed plant.

There is also nothing wrong with Taraxacum. It’s just a flowering weed plant commonly knows as dandelion.

I have never commented on the use of dandelion wine.

But the day people are drinking dandelion wine in numbers the same as the millions of marijuana users, with the same devastating and deadly results as with marijuana users … I will speak out.

When dandelion wine use finds increases in dandelion wine related traffic deaths, hospital visits, school suspensions, lab explosions and pet poisonings reach “epidemic” portions the same as marijuana users … I will speak out.

When young people aged 12 to 17 are drinking dandelion wine and jumping off of buildings to their death the same as marijuana users … I will scream!

Nothing can ever be accomplished with overbearing pothead advocates.

I however will continue reporting driving-while-stoned-on-marijuana deaths.

Thank you for your comment.

the same way I turned against the Paultards, when I originally supported many of his ideas and may have voted for him.

More revisionist history Gatlin, trying to ingratiate yourself with the "new guy"?

CF is not familiar with your anti-Paul stance going back to at least 2007 on the old Liberty Post.

It wasn't the "Paultards" you detested - it was the ideas and philosophy of Ron Paul. Why? Because freedom scares you.

I'm sure I could dredge up a slew of your obnoxious comments and the baseless claims of racism and anti-Semitism you maliciously slung at Dr. Paul.

Truly self-confident people don't windily toot their own horns on the internet.

I don't have the same platform that Donald Trump has, therefore the internet works just fine.

Thank you for your friendly advice.

You gonna sell us your DVD series? "Self-Confidence the Gatlin Way"?

If only I had the time. If only …

But everything I would have to present was gleaned from numerous leadership and management schools in the Air Force including the Seventh Army NCO Academy in Munich, the most senior NCO academy in Europe. And the USAF Command and Staff College at the USAF Air University in Montgomery, the second highest professional leadership and management school in the AF where only the top 10-percent of AF officers are selected to attend.

So, even if I had time … it would be a waste of effort since I could not copyright the material.

But, thank you kindly for your interest.

However, If I decide to write a book on "How To Win Friends And Influence People" … I will make sure you get a signed first edition.

The informative comments and claims are a matter of record still over at LP ... you are most welcome to gather them up and present them here.

But I stand by my statement ... they resulted from observing the obnoxious activity from Paultard bastards.

Paultards, when I originally supported many of his ideas and may have voted for him.

GrandIsland was a "Paultard" for a few days around '07. At least he pretended to be a Ron Paul supporter. It's likely that the term paultard, was invented to describe GrandIsland.

Gatlin has always been a statist Trotskyite of the Karl Rove, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, McCain type... Global Socialism with an Iron Glove (Neocon).

To what end?

A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them.

I can't see any intentional humor in your getting your anti-pot "facts" from spoof sites.
