BATHINDA, India — A father took justice into his own hands after a teen allegedly raped his baby daughter. The Daily Mail reports that the 17-year-old was accused of molesting the 7-month-old in 2014 after the child’s mother allegedly caught the teen in the act. Police sent the teen to a juvenile remedial home while he awaited trial. On Tuesday, he was making a court appearance when the baby’s father, 25-year-old Parminder Singh, lured him away by offering an out-of-court settlement. Swapan Sharma, a senior police officer of Bathinda, told the Daily Mail the father took the teen near a dried up canal, beat him badly, tied him to a tree and hacked his hands off. Bathinda police were alerted by locals of the act and rushed to the scene. The teen was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition. Authorities are now looking for Singh and plan to charge him with attempted murder. In 2014, A father in India invited his 14-year-old daughter’s alleged rapist over for dinner and then burned his genitals with heated tongs before strangling him to death.
