Donald Trump says transgender people should be able to "use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate." On NBC's Today show Thursday morning, the GOP front-runner said he opposes North Carolina's "very strong" bathroom bill, which allows businesses to prohibit transgender people from doing just that.
You know, I really liked Trump. I really favored his stance on immigration, and trade. I felt he was pretty politically astute, and sharp.
But then he pissed in the cheerio's by supporting that pedophile football coach, now this. Why? Just to pick up a few votes from some damn football nuts, and now a few perverts.
I have had it with him. He has lost the votes of myself, and my whole family. We will most likely support the Constitution Party.
He better hope he picks up a lot of votes from all the perverts, to overcome all the votes he lost.
I'll just say that Paterno wasn't a pedophile and was always a decent person. Now he did have the pedophile on his staff. I'm not sure what Paterno knew, but he had to have some idea what was going on. My guess is he was embarrassed by it and just didn't know how to deal with it.
" I'll just say that Paterno wasn't a pedophile and was always a decent person. Now he did have the pedophile on his staff. "
Yes, I know. I apologize. I just expressed it that way, because it was easier. Still, he had the pedophile on his staff, and should have done something about it.

I think that what he should have done is let law enforcement take care of that sort of thing. There are no underaged children on college football teams.

I believe the children in question weren't players but members of youth camps in their early teens.

Me too.
So, there was an assistant coach with an outside issue that was involved with activities unrelated to his employer.
His boss may have had suspicions, but no formal charges had been filed. So his boss withheld judgment and let the police do their job.
Eventually the police indicted.
I think Paterno did the right thing by withholding judgment. Crucifying him after the fact is politically correct, and I don't care about what is politically correct.

This went on under the oversight of Paterno. This happened on Penn State facilities. He could definitely have used his considerable influence to oust this guy.
All that said, I really don't blame Paterno too much. He was in an impossible situation that he had no desire to be in. He just had no idea how to handle it.
Very shortly after all this came to light, Paterno died. I don't think that is a coincidence.
