Kevin Liptak and Antoine Sanfuentes write at CNN Money: Treasury Secretary Jack Lew is expected to announce this week that Alexander Hamilton’s face will remain on the front of the $10 bill and a woman will replace Andrew Jackson on the face of the $20 bill, a senior government source told CNN on Saturday. Lew announced last summer that he was considering redesigning the $10 bill to include the portrait of a woman. The decision to make the historic change at the expense of Hamilton drew angry rebukes from fans of the former Treasury Secretary. The pro-Hamilton movement gained steam after the smash success of the hip-hop Broadway musical about his life this year. Those pressures led Lew to determine that Hamilton should remain on the front of the bill. Instead, a mural-style depiction of the women’s suffrage movement — including images of leaders such as Susan B. Anthony — will be featured on the back of the bill. A Treasury spokesman declined to comment on the pending changes. But Lew hinted that a decision could come this week. “When we started this conversation not quite a year ago, it wasn’t clear to me that millions of Americans were going to weigh in with their ideas,” he told CNBC. “We’re not just talking about one bill. We’re talking about the $5, the $10, and the $20. We’re not just talking about one picture on one bill. We’re talking about using the front and the back of the bill to tell an exciting set of stories.” You can read the rest of the story here.

"A woman"? That's it? When do they plan on telling the American people who this "woman" is going to be -- after the decision has been made? After they start printing? And what woman, of all the women, over all American history, has done more for this country than Alexander Hamilton? What a big, steaming load of PC crap.

If Caitlyn Jenner were black, no question. Women on new U.S. currency haven't been real popular. So now they feel they have to remove a Founding Father to make room for ... who? USA Today had a poll and came up with: Eleanor Roosevelt, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks and Wilma Mankiller. Yeah. Wilma who? Well, she was the first female chief of the Cherokee Nation. I mean, really. This is the list? We may have heard these names, but we don't know what they did. Go up to the average black person and ask them to tell you about Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks. Yet one of these should replace Hamilton?

Jackson hated central banking with a passion. He shut down the 2nd Bank of the United States so well they remained out of business in the US for 80 years afterwards. Putting his face on the $20 bill was intended to mock him, I believe.

I can't wait for some senior white Naval Officer to announce he/she/multiple choice is going to sue the Navy for gender and racial discrimination if he/she/multiple choice isn't promoted to Admiral because he/she/multiple choice "feels like a black woman". I felt it. Everyone in the whole country did, I'm sure. No damage or injuries where I live. It must have been a full minute of shaking but was, apparently, relatively gentle. Enough to feel it and to shake the power/phone lines. I saw some electrical fireworks in the sky (it was after dark) probably power lines touching each other. But I didn't even lose power. It would seem the mountains insulated us from most of the effects. Virtually all damage and injuries/deaths, probably all of them, occurring closer to sea level, even in a major city farther from the quake than I am.
