Darrell Castle has won the Constitution Party’s presidential nomination at the party’s national convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, today. First I had heard of him. Sounds good so far. I did not find any negatives about him. If Trump goes down, I will probably vote for this guy. Which I think all Trump supporters should do the same, rather than stay home or vote for Hillary!

Amen! I voted Constitution Party in '04 and '12 (and Bob Barr on the LP ticket in '08) when I couldn't stomach what the GOP was offering. A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them.
It's likely that his former running mate Chuck Baldwin will endorse him. There goes all of the Cruz evangelicals to Castle. Someone is sure to notice that he's not a NYC progressive like Trump, and there goes the rest of Americans, to Castle. Dump Trump now, and avoid the rush. If the voters were capable of noticing things like that, the Constitution Party would have been in power since at least '04. A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them.

You know, all the Trump supporters, ( If he gets dumped by the GOPe )and anti establishment types should go there. I have voted CP against both Bush's McStain, & Romney. Well, had a few interruptions. I am on page 4 now. So far, I like every thing I have read. It looks like a lot of work needs to be done to get them on all state ballots. I am sure the GOPe & DNCe will fiercely oppose that. Also, they need to work at getting members elected to local & national offices. At least there were no Republicans or Democrats involved. Odds are the Demopublicans have written the laws so "minor" parties can't get the government support for primary elections that the Demopublicans can. If you hear any of the Constitution Party's losing candidates or their supporters crying foul, please let us know. A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them.

That party is about principles not personalities - I understand how that bewilders a Trumpanzee. A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them. And if nobody knows of him to even know if he has principles (assuming the average voting sheep today cares about that) ... then how is principles more important than popularity? The question is whether the party has principles; if he is nominated by a firmly principle-based party the default is that he shares those principles. Trump's success certainly gives grounds for doubt. That's the difference between us: no modern politician will ever be my "hero." The Framers of the Constitution - they're a whole 'nother story. A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them.
