Title: WaPo: Cruz Likely to Block Trump on a Second Ballot at the GOP Convention

From Ed O’Keefe writing at the Washington Post:

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is close to ensuring that Donald Trump cannot win the GOP nomination on a second ballot at the party’s July convention in Cleveland, scooping up scores of delegates who have pledged to vote for him instead of the front-runner if given the chance.

The push by Cruz means that it is more essential than ever for Trump to clinch the nomination by winning a majority of delegates to avoid a contested and drawn-out convention fight, which Trump seems almost certain to lose.

The GOP race now rests on two cliffhangers: Can Trump lock up the nomination before Cleveland? And if not, can Cruz cobble together enough delegates to win a second convention vote if Trump fails in the first?

Time for a series of one on one debates. Tell Kasich to take a hike.

Tell Kasich to take a hike.

He's been told.

But he has delusions of grandeur, imho.

Lyin' Cheatin' cuban Rafael teddie Cruz may not even be on the New Jersey primary ballot, read Judge Masin's decision.

I posted the link because I don't know the html coding to post a pdf

Read it thoroughly, and you will see why i say, Cruz may not be on the NJ R primary ballot.

Readiing is fundamental:

'I CONCLUDE that the more persuasive legal analysis is that such a child, born of a citizen- father, citizenmother, or both, is indeed a “natural born Citizen” within the contemplation of the Constitution. As such I CONCLUDE that Senator Cruz meets the Article II, Section I qualifications and is eligible to be nominated for President. His name may therefore appear on the New Jersey Republican primary ballot.'

A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them.

I've read several accounts of Masin's decision and found them all less than convincing.

imho, the reason for stipulating POTUS be natural born is simply the best way to ensure as much as possible that whosoever holds that office will have no higher allegiance to anything other than the good ol' US of A.

But be that as it may, that's my criteria and I vote accordingly.

Worcester v. Georgia

President Andrew Jackson reportedly responded: "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!"

I CONCLUDE that Senator Cruz meets the Article II, Section I qualifications and is eligible to be nominated for President

Now the Cruz voters need to figure out how to get past, Blubber Boy Christie's road blocks, and somehow vote. The court has no power to enforce it's decision.

I am new to this forum.

Is it ok to advocate for Ted Cruz. Largely the 1237 second ballot scenario.

Thanks in advance.

further down, below the conclusion.

His failure to see Cruz's CRBA is cause for the Lt Gov to reject the 'decision'

By and large, it is.

But advocating anything on this forum will draw some flak.

First, welcome.

Now to answer your question, of course it is, but why would you want to?

wh?

Because I want to win. Will be voting for Cruz in NY this Tuesday.

Want to see a shot gun wedding scenario where Trump is voted President but forced to have Cruz as his VP from the delegates.

If Trump folks or Cruz folks are left out, we will lose.

Trump wont pick Cruz, not his style.

Trump must be made to be humbled to accept Cruz.

That would be on topic, as far as I'm concerned.

The administrator, A K A Stone, may flame you but won't ban you - as far as I know, the only bans during my short time here have been for swearing at him and for calling him a faggot (his having called you one first apparently not being a mitigating factor).

A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them.

His failure to see Cruz's CRBA is cause for the Lt Gov [sic] to reject the 'decision'

The SoS may reject the decision - if he wants to charge into this hornets' nest by introducing evidentiary matters not raised before the judge:

"As discussed with counsel at hearing, it is undisputed that Senator Cruz was born in Calgary, Canada, the child of a mother who was an American citizen and a father who was not a citizen of the United States. No other issues of fact concerning his place of birth, parentage, status or actions of his parents have been asserted or supported by any proofs whatsoever."

A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them.
