Title: Trump Kids Can't Vote for Dad

Yesterday, CR reported that the deadline to change party registration for registered voters in New York State was in October of last year.
Strict voter registration rules for New York's primary could end up badly hurting Donald Trump. Voters previously unaffiliated with a political party were required to register with a party before Oct. 9th of last year in order to vote in this year's primary.

These rules mean that at least two of Donald Trump's four adult children will be unable to vote for their father in New York on April 19th.  Yahoo News recently reported, that Ivanka and Eric Trump are not registered in a political party in New York State.
Donald Trump’s three oldest children have campaigned with their father and served as surrogates during the presidential race. But only one of them is actually a member of the party Trump hopes to lead.

Records from the New York State Board of Elections show that neither Ivanka Trump nor Eric Trump is enrolled in a political party. Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., is a Republican.

This means that both Ivanka and Eric cannot vote for their father in New York's closed Republican primary on April 19, 2016.  They missed the deadline to register to do so.  Only Republicans can vote in the New York primary.

This is another planning setback for the Trump campaign. Just today the campaign handed out multiple rounds of delegate slates in Colorado that listed the wrong numbers on the ballots. Colorado's convention uses a fill in the bubble system that lists numbers but not names, for electronic tallying.

Trump did score delegates in Michigan today though, and joined with Kasich to shut Cruz out of rules committee seats.

If Trump is one vote under 50 percent in New York on April 19th, then Ivanka and Eric will have been the difference in him winning all the statewide delegates.

Poster Comment:

Odd. He was running for months before the Oct. 9 deadline. Yet they never registered. I was trying to recall if Kerry's stepkids also failed to register to vote for him in 2004.

About the same odds as you telling the truth.

It occurs to me that Melania is a naturalized citizen too.

So is Melania a registered Republican?

How about Ivanka's husband? How about the wives of Trump's sons?

Maybe there are only two members of the Trump family who are actual Republicans.

It wouldn't surprise me at all.

If Donald can't persuade his only family to fill out a voter registration card and vote GOP, why do you think he's going to be so successful at persuading other people to vote GOP?

Well, well. Melania has a better and more steadfast track record as a Republican than Donald himself who only registered Republican in 2009.

Smoking Gun:

Prospective First Lady Melania Trump, 45, has not suffered from the kind of flip-flopping that has afflicted her husband. The Slovenian immigrant, a former model, first registered to vote in October 2006 and enrolled as a Republican, records show.

So Donald, Melania, and Eric are the only Republicans we know of so far in the Trump family.

More than one Trumpster is going to find that they attempted to register too late . Too bad . Maybe Trump wants same day registration with no proof of identity ;like your typical Dem wants . It appears that Trump has problems when the rules don't go his way. Like a typical Dem he calls them 'unfair' .

Like a typical Dem he calls them 'unfair' .

And then threatens rioting if he doesn't get his way.

By golly, that does sound a lot like the Dems. Of course, Trump was himself a very liberal Dem voter and donor as recently as 2009 so we can't be too surprised when he reverts to form.

So?

No, the DRats just keep recounting until they get the results they want, e.g. the Al Franken ploy, as opposed to just stealing the election outright a la JFK. When we allow them do that We The People get what we deserve:

потому что Бог хочет это тот путь

If his own kids wouldn't bother to vote for Trump, why should anyone else?

I'd like to see someone ask them why they didn't register in October? Didn't they think he was seriously running for president? Don't they want to vote for him? Et cetera.

I was waiting for some reporter to ask Trump about this.

Politistick

Trump Responds to Kids Not Voting for Him; Sad!

Two out of three of Donald Trump’s voting age children, Eric Trump and Ivanka Trump, won’t be voting for their father in the New York Primary on April 19.

The reason why is that neither bothered to register as Republicans before the deadline, which was in October of last year. Neither Eric or Ivanka are registered Republicans, even though they have appeared regularly at campaign rallies and TV appearances with their father.

The bloviating billionaire called into FOX & Friends on Monday and told the hosts that his kids feel “very very guilty” that they failed to register to vote for their dad in New York, a state which has a closed primary, meaning that only Republicans can vote in the Republican primary.

“No. They had a longtime register and they were, you know, unaware of the rules, and they didn’t, they didn’t register in time,” the reality game show host admitted. “So they feel very, very guilty.”

“They feel very guilty. But it’s fine. I understand that. I think they have to register a year in advance and they didn’t. So Eric and Ivanka, I guess, won’t be voting,” Trump said.

FOX’s Steve Doocy jokingly asked Donald Trump if he would be cutting off Eric and Ivanka’s allowance, Trump answered tongue-in-cheek, “Yes, no more allowance.”

I'm a little surprised that the reliable toady, Doocy, dared to mention it in front of Donald's millions of worshipers.
