No, he probably can't Agree or disagree with him, Cruz is going against the current orthodoxy - the groupthink of statists who perceive themselves as the intelligentsia. They are the intellectual elite - smarter than everyone else. In saner times, one who goes against the current orthodoxy would be seen either as a fool or as someone who is brave - given one's perspective. But other than that, he or she would be left alone. But in the world that people like Willie seem to prefer, it's not enough to just "tsk tsk" those people. They must be stopped - silenced. You know, like they did in the old USSR.
