Former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields received a chilling phone call, Friday afternoon, that forced her to go to police. In audio obtained by TheBlaze, a male voice can be heard telling Fields she has 36 hours to drop charges against Donald Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, or she would be killed. You’ll recall that Fields accused Lewandowski of grabbing her arm following a Trump event in March. Lewandowski has since been charged with simple battery stemming from the incident. RELATED: Trump’s campaign manager could face jail time for the alleged abuse of a campaign reporter In the audio, the man tells Fields he will find her and “kill her.” He adds that he knows where she lives. The man says “you’ve got 36 hours to drop the charges.” Fields asks him, “or what? What are you going to do?” The voice then replies that he’s going to slit her throat. Fields tells him he has “serious issues” and asks him if there’s anything else that he wants to add. The call then ends. RELATED: Trump’s campaign manager doesn’t know how to treat a lady Fields has also received threats on Instagram, with one threat reading “I’m going to stab this knife in your heart, just wait.” Another threat: “You are dead, bitch. I have someone watching your every move. See you at the morgue.” We did a quick check of her Instagram account and found this threat from a week-old post. The threat was written Tuesday. We’ve removed her identifying information. Fields was forced to leave her Washington, D.C. area home last week when news sites like BuzzFeed and Fox News published the Lewandowski arrest report but failed to redact her personal information. Fields filed a report with the D.C police department, noting the phone call and the online threats. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) sent Rare the report. We asked the MPD for a statement about the case. Trump is no stranger to court litigation, so he'd have no reason not to see the assault case alleged by Fields through. He'd sooner pay Fields to drop the charges than to have her life threatened.
