They say it's broccoli, and they say the hell with it. But Big Brother is watching you, kids: The federal government is taking steps to fine schools that do not comply with first lady Michelle Obama’s school lunch rules. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service issued a proposed rule Monday to codify parts of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, which was championed by Mrs. Obama. The regulation would punish schools and state departments with fines for “egregious or persistent disregard” for the lunch rules that imposed sodium and calorie limits and banned white grains. It can't happen here? Think again: A West Virginia preschool teacher was threatened with fines for violating the rules by rewarding her students with candy for good behavior in June 2015. The teacher ultimately did not have to pay, but the school had to develop a “corrective action plan” with training on the policies. The government now seeks to make fines enforceable by regulation. Section 303 of the law requires that the federal government “establish criteria for the imposition of fines” for all the Department of Agriculture’s child food programs. “Under section 303, the Secretary or a State agency may establish an assessment against any school food authority or school administering the Child Nutrition Programs if the Secretary or the State agency determines that the school or school food authority failed to correct severe mismanagement of any program, failed to correct repeated violations of program requirements, or disregarded a requirement of which they have been informed,” the proposed rule states. Liberalism: forcing you to love Big Brother one chickenscat regulation at a time. Does anyone seriously believe this is what our Founders had in mind when they sought to establish a federal government of limited powers? Instead we now have a bloated, wasteful, inefficient and malevolent government whose first instinct is to reach for the stick to make you to eat that carrot. What a legacy. It will live on forever; through the reconstruction era of a post-Obama America where everyone who isn't on welfare will work towards extricating this pitiful Republic from a leftist-created swamp of quicksand. The Obama 'presidential' lieberry should be located atop a pile of landfill. EVERY department head approved by the Obama administration should be fired and investigated by the new conservative head of the justice department. All Obama cabinet, Obama, and John Kerry and Hillary Clinton should be investigated for Treason. Mrs Obama should be investigated for misappropriation o government funds for the incredibly expensive (multi millions) vacations at tax payer expense and for pretending it's a woman. Return those rented kids and Obama should confess that he ate the girl's dog for dinner with some fava beans and an excellent Chianti. The Vince Foster murder case should be thoroughly investigated and Mrs. Klinton should be arrested for having Craig Livingstone commit the murder. They should both be hanged on Christmas Day as a gift to America.

Nobody gave that monstrous wookie authority over anything, much less poisoning our kids' food.
