Democrat candidate for President Jim Webb has endorsed Donald Trump for President, not Hillary. Wow…just wow. What a strange race we are witnessing. After hinting about it for awhile, Jim Webb has admitted he will vote for Trump over Hillary. A man who actually shared the stage with Hillary and Bernie will be voting for a Republican. From Prntly: On Morning Joe this week, Democratic legend Jim Webb said he’d vote for Trump before he would vote for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. A military veteran and former Senator himself, Webb likely could not overlook the decision by Hillary Clinton to ignore the repeated calls for extra security by Ambassador Stevens in Libya weeks before the fatal attack on the consulate in Benghazi. Hillary admitted error in the attack during investigation proceedings led by Senator Rand Paul and Trey Gowdy, but brushes off calls to be held accountable or step down, citing that security analysts were to blame for the failure of security. Jim Webb is certainly not the first Democrat to endorse Trump; reportedly hundreds of thousands of blue collar democrats poll in favor of the Donald. But he is certainly the highest profile Democratic pol to come out with an endorsement of Trump over Hillary. Webb was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. Attending the Marine Corps Officer Basic School shortly after leaving Annapolis, he graduated first in his class. He was promoted to first lieutenant in the second half of his tour in Vietnam. He served as a platoon commander with Delta Company, 1st Battalion 5th Marines. He was awarded the Navy Cross for heroism in Vietnam, the second highest decoration in the Navy and Marine Corps. To: A K A Stone (#0) James Webb wrote the definitive book about Annapolis that I think every Academy midshipman has read: "A Sense of Honor". He took on the mantle of Secretary of the Navy at one point - was it for Reagan? - and then did the utterly honorable thing: when he was not listened to or treated with respect on subjects he considered vital for the national defense, because of politics, he resigned. Estranged from the Republicans by their cavalier treatment of national security, he later ran as a Democrat and won a Senate seat, but soon he was entangled in brawls with Democrats over national security. He's a principled guy with a Scotch-Irish temperament. His endorsement of Trump tells me that he has looked at the field, considered who is best for the country, and when it comes to a showdown between Trump and Clinton, will not forget that Clinton not only made an error that left soldiers and a US Ambassador exposed to face terrifying deaths unnecessarily but then would not take personal responsibility for it. Webb himself resigned his own Secretarial office because he was not being listened to on vital matters. Hillary clung to hers even after she got people killed. This is normally the type of show I hate,but I watched the first episode of season 1 just to check it out,and the acting was so good I could over look the "Bruce Wayne"/Batman nonsense. You need to check out Homeland,The Blacklist,The Americans,Shameless,Game of Thrones,Burn List,Breaking Bad,Vikings,Justified,The Shield,Sons of Anarchy (if you can stand hardcore scooter trash that wear bright white sneakers),and a whole bunch of other ones. There must be 25 or 30 regular tv shows being aired now that are a match for any movie that has ever been produced,a hour at a time.
