They're back.

A super PAC opposed to Donald Trump plans to launch a new round of advertising this week ahead of Super Tuesday. The commercials by Our Principles PAC will run nationally on Fox News and CNN, said Katie Packer, who runs the political committee. She would not disclose the size of the buy, which will feature footage of the real-estate magnate praising Democrats and President Obama's 2009 stimulus package.

The advertising is the latest attempt by the group to dislodge the Republican front-runner and cast him as a "conservative of convenience." Our Principles PAC and the anti-tax Club for Growth are the only outside groups not closely aligned with candidates that have sought to confront Trump, who is widely distrusted by the GOP's establishment class.

In a memo released earlier this week, Packer implored fellow Republicans to at least try to tackle Trump. "No one has stopped him because no one has really tried," she wrote, noting that only about 9% of the $215 million spent on ads and voter contacts in the White House contest so far has targeted the New York billionaire.

Recently filed election reports show virtually all of the group's funding in January came from Marlene Ricketts, the wife of TD Ameritrade founder J. Joe Ricketts, a longtime Republican donor and activist. The family owns the Chicago Cubs.

A source close to the PAC said other donors, rather than members of the Ricketts family, are funding the new round of anti-Trump advertising.

Minnesota broadcasting magnate Stanley Hubbard told USA TODAY this week that he donated $10,000 to the anti-Trump cause because the group is merely highlighting Trump's own statements. "I want every candidate to tell the truth," he said.

It's not clear how much of an impact the new commercials might have ahead of Super Tuesday when 11 states stage GOP primaries and caucuses. The group has spent more than $3.8 million since it was launched in mid-January, and Trump has won three of the four early contests.

Trump and his campaign aides have repeatedly described the super PAC's effort as a push by out-of-touch elites, and Trump took to Twitter this week to warn the Ricketts' family to "be careful."Brian Baker, the Ricketts family's political adviser, said a "sustained effort to explain information about Mr. Trump's background to voters" is needed.

Trump "has been so successful because people are so disappointed and angry and ashamed over where this country has been taken," Baker said. "I share in that disappointment, but I don’t think that Donald Trump is the right nominee for the Republican Party.” (1 image)

Let them exhaust their money and themselves in a hopeless fight to the end. Then, when they have lost and Trump is President, not only will he, and we, owe them absolutely nothing positive, we can make a point of ensuring that they get the audits and the regulatory supervision.

If they want to fight to the death, and clearly they do, then it should end just as they wished: with their deaths (politically and economically speaking, of course).

If they fail to take Trump and those of us who support Trump out - using all of their power - then once Trump and we win anyway, we need to make sure to use OUR power so that THEY can never do this again.

You break the power of the rich by taking their money away. You take their money away by taking away their tax breaks, and by turning the full force of regulatory supervision on them, JUST LIKE THEY DO IT.

Everything that Trump has ever done wrong is being paraded in front of the press. Everything that the Koch brothers has ever done wrong can be paraded in front of the Grand Jury.

You want a fight to the death? Then you'd better win.

" Everything that the Koch brothers has ever done wrong can be paraded in front of the Grand Jury. "

Add to the list: Clintons, Bush's, Romney, Ryan, Bohenor, Pelosi, Schummer, Glen Beck, all of the RNC, all of the DNC, Obama, etc, etc

Well, perhaps, but the primary enemies of Trump - the ones actually spending the money to launch the jihad, are not Pelosi and Schumer. It's the Republicans on your list. They're trying to take him out "in family", so it's a bit like a struggle for power within the mob.

If they win, Trump is finished. Which means that when he wins, he ought to finish them.

Dealing with the Democrats is like dealing with another crime family.

Well, I agree. But the original premise was to prosecute those that deserved to be prosecuted. That is why I included the Dems.

I do think the first focus should be on a LOT of repukes. But many of the dems are highly deserving of prosecution! And should be! Starting with William J Clinton, for treason!

I'm rather surprised that after all their attempts to destroy trump, they really think we trump supporters will far in line with their candidate.

We will, and hillary will walk into the presidency, cause we're not voting.

The PTB do not care. They control Hillary, and as long as the GOP nominee is their pick, they cannot lose. That is the way they play.

You want a fight to the death? Then you'd better win.

Or they could just take their ballot access and sit out this presidential election.

Fill in he rest of the slate but no candidate for the top spot.

I don't think fielding a candidate for president is mandatory for either national committee.

That's one possibility, I suppose.

But I'm pretty sure the Founding Fathers set up three co-equal branches of government specifically to prevent an imperial presidency.

But the system of checks and balances remain intact, in place and available to a loyal opposition and the other two branches of the Federal government.

The only thing that allowed Øbama free rein was the lack of opposition, widespread corruption and political cowardice, imo.

I'm not sure a President Trump will receive the same treatment that Øbama continues to receive.
