What are "OWS"?
Occupy Wall Street.
Oh, I remember those guys. They occupied the park in Manhattan that was right below the windows of my office. I remember them there, every day, the drums and tambourines. That got a little old. I also remember Nude Girl, a slender and attractive woman who would stand there bare naked with just a sign hanging over her nether parts that said "I don't wan't you to LOOK, I want you to LISTEN." You always had MY attention, ma'am. There was also "Nude Guy", who tried to do the same thing, but he got arrested quickly. I remember that Nude Girl was clearly a serious threat to the security of the city, one who bore very close watching, because when she would show up the police found it necessary to come from all sides of the park and prove close surveillance, just to, you know, make sure she didn't try to blow anything up. So there was the OWS tent city, and then she would show up, the police presence would all congregate around her corner, and there's be an impromptu cop tent city stood up right there. Curiously, they never arrested her. But when a fat hag stood up to do the same thing, she got arrested immediately. I decided that political speech rights are something of an arcane mystery, as there was no apparent difference between any of the three protestors' efforts, clothing states or signs. There must have been something subtle that Nude Girl was doing that the others weren't. Maybe the cops were just afraid they couldn't chase her down wearing all that gear of theirs with a limp to boot. All in all, the OWS folks in general could have left, but it'd be nice if Nude Girl had many causes to bring her back to the corner.
