Title: Anybody know anything about car noises?

My car is making a weird noise every time I apply the brakes. It only happens when I apply the brakes. It's not a schreeching or chirping noise you might hear from the sensor when your brake pads are getting thin. It's also not a metallic whine you might hear when your break pads are gone and you are getting metal on metal contact. It's like a low pitched groan you might hear from your digestive system after eating bad shellfish, only a lot louder. Any idea what this might be?

Not an expert but if at really low speeds it just could be normal. Basically its really grabbing the rotor but since you are not going fast nor apply hard on the brakes it is noticeable. Does it pull left or right when braking? One brake could be doing all the work.
Did you run over anybody?
A low growl could mean rotor damage and is a serious safety issue.
The next time you get in the car keep repeating, "The Power of Christ compels you." Some Holy Water would help. I think your car is possessed.
Don't stuff about, brakes are serious. It might be a fault in the barkes or it could be a fault elsewhere but get a mechanic to look at it. A Camry I used to own exhibited the same sort of thing and noone knew what it was, now someoneelse has the joy of working it out

Might be the nut in the back... Do not wait & loly gag around. Get it to a qualified mechanic, and get it checked, and repaired, like yesterday ! Until then, ride your bicycle.
