From time to time I will update my "2016 in Bible Prophecy" predictions as more details unfold in the news. The latest news is that the Zika virus, which first appeared in Africa in 1947, has now spread to Brazil and has mutated. It is suspected of causing thousands of babies to be born with small heads and major brain damage. It is mostly spread by the Aedes mosquito, but it was announced today that it also survives in semen and saliva. Women are urged to not get pregnant, and pregnant women are urged to not have unprotected sex or even kiss a man (and also wear mosquito repellent if they can afford it). Scientists are predicting that after the Summer Olympics are held in Rio this summer, Zika will spread to virtually every nation in the world except perhaps Canada ans Chili -- the only two nations where the Aedes mosquito is not found. The plague of new diseases (last plague # 5) immediately follows global warming (plague # 4), and scientists theorize that global warming is causing bacteria and viruses to mutate.
