The Bush family, the DuPont family, Standard Oil, Ford, and more.

Who would you expect to have? German industrialists? Japanese? Italian? Brits? The U.S. was the only country left standing intact. It was the only country in the position to start rebuilding the global industrial infrastructure. Further virtually all sectors of the U.S. economy greatly prospered. especially the middle class in the U.S. I do not think that many would argue that the ascent to the top of the economic heap and status of both a military and economic super power occurred because and a result of WWII.

Oh, BTW, ever hear the phrase "to the victor goes the spoils".

Oh, BTW again, who engineered WWII?

So who made money in World War Two?

Answer: Almost every American who wasn't an enlisted man fighting on the ground as a grunt.

That was a great improvment over when 20% of them were waiting in bread lines.

My parents were typical, --- during the war they both worked at well paying jobs unavailable before the war, and saved enough to buy a house on a few acres..

BIG step up for them... And for millions like them. Our new neighborhood (formerly small farms), was subdivided and hundreds of homes were built, most by do it yourselfers from their wartime savings..

Yup, they went from ten years of hopeless depression to building a future for themselves and their children.

The average American did exceedingly well right after the war and through the 60s - up until the Great Society BS.

It allowed my parents, only one of which graduated HS, to raise two kids and have them go to college and subsequently see their children vault up the economic ladder as a result thereof - with little-to-no help from the government. They were also able to retire in reasonable comfort with a very high degree of self-sufficiency (i.e. - no government largess save for SS which they both paid into the system for decades before retiring). The same was true for my in-laws. And at least the two grandmas saw our daughter surpass our educational and career achievements.

In short, that is what embodied the American Dream - a good argument can be made that such was born out of the ruins of WWII. Sadly realization of that version of the dream is just about dead now. Now one is told that they need the government to be able to fulfill the dream.

What you need now is a government wo will start the war who will perpetuate the war so the top 1% can prosper while the rest are used for cannon fodder

From what my father told me, in Minnesota the depression wasn't that hopeless. My brothers were born in '31 and '33, I in '36, and while my father never had a 'good' job, we never lacked for anything essential.

But after the war, by golly, we were 'rich'! (I wish) ---

I should have been more clear, when I said who made the money, I didn't mean ten grand or twenty or even 100 grand, I am talking billions, who made billions off WW2?

well of course it was, the german industralists drank out of that trough just as the americans did. Even the British king was in favour of the nazi. I expect they thought their war wouldn't be in Europe.

One of the ways of lifting an economy quickly is a war and the world was deep in depression and its afthermath, what do you do with the unemployed? induct them into the military

You really do not know the history of WWII.

No all the documentaries I have watched in my long life and the reference books on my coffee table are all wrong, just as all the other references available. American industry profited from the war thus the reluctance to enter it, German industry profited from the war. The rich always profit from war and try to be on the winning side and each generation takes a different view of politics. The jews were unwanted in Europe until Hitler stated exterminating them, then those, including the US who had turned a blind eye. understood the threat.

In this current age we don't understand the threat, given the opportunity the nazi muslims wahhabbists would exterminate us, starting with the shiia, then the christians and the jews and history will repeat itself

I am convinced that one of three things will happen within the next ten months.

Christ raptures His church.

World war Three

or Real and devastating Civil War here in the USA resulting in the deaths of 90% or more of the Ruling Political Class within the first month.

Or was he looking for a cut?

Imagine how much Lyndon Baines Johnsosn made when all of the US military went from the M14 to the M16.

The bible teaches us that all serve either God or mammon. One will either love Christ or love the things of money and power.

Or was he looking for a cut?

Maybe, maybe not.

Either way the truth of what he said is self-evident today as we can see in current events in the manufactured crISIS - where the profiteers play both sides.

We can't change what has been done, but we can raise up a generation that recognizes the errors and contradicts them by refusing to continue with bidness as usual - and REFORM American government per its declared, specified, purpose: TO SECURE THESE RIGHTS.
