In an appearance CNN’s “New Day” on Tuesday, Rick Tyler, a spokesman for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)’s (R-TX) presidential campaign, reacted to the news of a “major announcement” that includes a “very special guest” at a campaign event for GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump in Ames, IA later in the day and the possibility that guest could be former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK), the 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee. Big announcement in Ames, Iowa on Tuesday! Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 17, 2016 Tyler was asked if Palin were to endorse Trump if it would be a “blow” to Cruz’s presidential effort, to which Tyler said it would be a “blow” to Palin instead. “I think it’d be a blow to Sarah Palin because Sarah Palin has been a champion for the conservative cause, and if she was going to endorse Donald Trump, sadly, she would be endorsing someone who’s held progressive views all their life on the sanctity of life, on marriage, on partial-birth abortion,” Tyler said. “He supported TARP bailout. It goes on and on and on. Donald Trump claims he’s changed all those views. But I think if it was Sarah Palin — let me just say, I’d be deeply disappointed.”

Yeah, Trump may have hit paydirt with those tweets about Cruz and Goldman Sachs. And the same tweets can be used against ¡Heb! and Narco, too. There are three kinds of people in the world: those that can add and those that can't
I'm not so sure this is the big win that Trump envisions. Seems to me that it might sway a few votes in Iowa. But NH hated Palin. I think this might accelerate the consolidation of the GOPe behind Rubio. Or even Bush. Surprisingly, Bush's numbers have come up a little recently.
