What is this "Gospel" that Christ orders Christians to preach?

In Mark 16:15 Jesus orders us to: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

In Romans 1:16 Paul proudly states: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Jesus orders us to to preach it to every creature, Paul proudly proclaims his obedience, what about you?

Do you even know what the Gospel is? If not how can you obey Jesus when He commands you, yes you, to“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”?

If you refuse to obey His commands, how can you claim to be a Christian?

You're Welcome Bob.

And the Gospel...

Isaiah 42:1-4

What does this mean?

1 Corinthians 15 King James Version (KJV)

15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8)

Close, but, no cigar.

But, the seeker says: How do I know that Jesus is the Christ from what you posted?

1 ¶ Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

While you have not even scratched the surface, you, being the first to reference the OT are closer than any who have only used the NT.

Makes you think doesn't it.

Do you even know what the Gospel is?

1 Corinthians 15 answered the 'what' you asked.

The 'how' the disciples preached the Gospel is another matter.

Acts clearly shows they used the TaNaKh to prove Jesus was the Messiah, and Son of God.

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. Acts clearly shows they used the TaNaKh to prove Jesus was the Messiah, and Son of God.

Think back to when you got saved, what were your questions, what were you preached. But first look at: Luke 24:13-27.

Keep in mind as we do this, others are watching and reading, and PMing. So, let us do as the Lord did, let us sue no big confusing words, let us speak as clear and simple as possible. For I have no idea what the TaNaKh is.

The time is short, let us do as the Lord commanded, but to do it we must know what it is that we are commanded to preach and to whom.

"And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself."

That was my reference to the disciples using the OT (TaNaKh) to point to Christ Jesus 'the things concerning Himself." Matches precisely with 1 Corinthians 15.

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8)

So, if your answer is:

The Gospel that Jesus commands us to preach in Mark is all four of the Gospels and all that He did to fulfill all of the OT requirements to be The CHRIST, then you are right.

simply put, Jesus redeem us by his death and ressurrection and through belief in him we are born to eternal life.
