The cable news channel Al Jazeera America, which debuted in 2013 to great fanfare when it promised to cover American news soberly and seriously, is shutting down by the end of April. The move was announced at a companywide meeting on Wednesday. -------------

Tragic loss. "There was an exodus of top executives, along with a pair of lawsuits from former employees that included complaints about sexism and anti- Semitism at the news channel" -- ironic since Arabs are among the real semites and reporter John Koblin probably the exact oppoosite. Call me anti-American insofar as America is evil.
How is America "evil?" Certainly you have over-stepped the boundaries of common sense and wasted away your comment into pure phanaticism.
How isn't it? It's the new USSR, complete with feckless, reckless "war" in Afghanistan! (I use scare quotes because our wars are nothing but naked aggressions and takeovers.) What is America doing right -- will somebody tell me that please? Who anywhere on earth is immune from Washington's deadly impact, including you and I?
The freedom fighters turned against America. You can't blame America for that change of attitude. Most posters on LF leave that question up to BorisY to respond to; I shall perform likewise. He was committed to an insane asylum a few years back and under a psychiatrist's prescription, he undergoes electro-shock therepy regularly. He is improving but it is "at a snail's pace" to use an ol' addage.

I can -- and do -- blame America for going everywhere it has no business. My question stands. Anybody? C'mon, I wanna be an AMERICA FIRSTER again, but I know too much. We're Israel's junkyard dog, our new state religion is Holocaustianity, our economy is based on thin air, our government embodies the communist manifesto. States ape the feds in doing evil, cities and counties ape them. DC is militarizing local police under the direct guidance of SPLC and ADL. Take the money we've spent "liberating" Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Somalia ad inf and how many problems could be solved at home? The gas lines under Manhattan are ready to blow any minute while we're building garbage like a $750 million "EMBASSY" in Baghdad! Oh, aren't we WONDERFUL. We LOVE all humanity. Kumbayah, kumbayah, come on now, smile on your brother, everybody get together, try to love one another right now........!
