AC/DC may have formed all the way back in 1973, but the veteran band sold the most tickets of any act in the world for 2015, according to Pollstar. The Sydney-founded group sold 2,310,061 tickets on the Rock or Bust tour last year, ahead of US pop star Taylor Swift who sold 2,273,328 tickets during her 1989 World Tour. Rounding out the top five was British boy band One Direction with 1,729,470 tickets, Foo Fighters with 1,682,053 and Luke Bryan fifth with 1,294,160. Although the likes of The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Diamond and U2 also toured last year, their numbers not even close to that of AC/DC.

The band, comprised of members Angus Young, Cliff Williams, Brian Johnson, Stevie Young and Chris Slade, next takes its tour to North America in February before Europe during May and June.

Poster Comment: of course AC/DC sold more. They are better. I'll be seeing them March 23. Concert sold out in 15 min.
