Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump blasted Benghazi Committee chairman Congressman Trey Gowdy for backing Florida Senator Marco Rubio. Reuters reported that Trump accused Gowdy of backing Rubio in the Congress Sunday. The Republican front-runner aggravated the Congressman who is heading the investigation on the 2012 Benghazi attack where four Americans were killed. Hillary Clinton was able to avoid criticisms back in October on how she handled the attack when she was secretary of state. The Business Insider wrote that Trump rapped Gowdy in an interview Sunday, saying, "His hearings were a disaster. Everybody was looking forward to something that was going to be really productive. And he didn't win with those hearings. It was a total not-good for Republicans and for the country." Trump went on saying he hopes Gowdy will do better for Rubio than he did for the Benghazi hearing. According to the International Business Times, Rubio's team announced Saturday that Gowdy would back him up in Iowa. Gowdy in a statement said that Marco is a solid conservative and a trustworthy leader. He said he is looking forward to campaigning for him in Iowa. Gowdy already introduced the presidential candidate at campaign events in South Carolina earlier this month. Trump said, "I've been seeing on Twitter many, many people extremely angry about the whole thing. Because, you know, Marco's been very strong for amnesty and very weak at the border. And a lot of people are very upset with Trey Gowdy for doing that." The announcement of Gowdy's support for Rubio comes after South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham dropped out of the presidential race. In the latest polls by certain media outlets, Rubio only ranks third on with 10 percent support. Texas Senator Ted Cruz is second with 18 percent, and Trump leads with 39 percent. Even with Trump's criticism against Gowdy, the Congressman's support would definitely boost Rubio's standing. Poster Comment: The GOP is a totally dysfunctional Klown Kar.

What happened to Trump's "I only attack if I am attacked"? Gowdy didn't attack Trump at all. And Trump still went after him. And Trump wonders why the GOP elite hates his guts so much. He's attacked other GOP pols too for no good reason at all.

Not at all. Hitlery was never the prime target. Like the libmedia, you always assumed the hearings were just a way to attack Her Thighness. Not true. Her role was very very limited, largely because she and Obangme carefully made themselves absent during the event itself. This was all known before the hearings ever started. No one ever thought they would hang Obama or Hitlery with Benghazi. After they caught Susan Rice lying baldfaced to the public on 7 different TV shows in one week, it was clear enough there was no lynch party to be had. Apparently you think that congressional oversight (hearings) is never anything more than a "partisan witch hunt".
