Trump State Park.” Despite the massive donation, Democratic lawmakers are trying to strip his name from the park and replace it with a folk singer, or Revolutionary War hero or something. Trump bought it for only $2 million but wasn't able to obtain the local permits to develop it into a private golf course... so he inflated it to $100 million as a tax write-off when he donated it to the state... The real scandal here is the way the state treated their 436-acre gift. The state closed it and let it fall into disrepair because of "budget cuts", thereby saving the state $2500 per year. If nobody ever actually paid $100 million for it, then it's only worth whatever it was the last time the property was purchased. Anything other than that is a phony, made-up number.
