Donald Trump has hit back at Hillary Clinton's 'sexist' jibe by attacking her husband Bill's infamous infidelities.

The former secretary of state had accused the real estate mogul of 'having a penchant for sexism' after he said that President Obama had 'schlonged' her in the 2008 race to the White House.

Last week, Trump appeared to threaten Clinton over the accusation in a tweet where he warned her: 'Hillary, when you complain about "a penchant for sexism," who are you referring to. I have great respect for women. BE CAREFUL!'

Now he has followed through by attacking Bill Clinton after Hillary announced she was unleashing her husband as a 'secret weapon' to secure wins in key early states.

The Republican front-runner claimed Clinton was a hypocrite for attacking Trump on sexism while she remained married to Bill and planned to deploy him in her campaign.

Former President Bill Clinton's infidelities are infamous and his relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky even led to his impeachment in 1998.

He also admitted a sexual liaison with Arkansas state employee Gennifer Flowers while, as president, he paid $850,000 to settle a long-running sexual harassment lawsuit with Paula Jones.

Trump tweeted yesterday: 'Hillary Clinton has announced that she is letting her husband out to campaign but HE'S DEMONSTRATED A PENCHANT FOR SEXISM, so inappropriate!'

His spokesman Katrina Pierson, told CNN: 'Hillary Clinton has some nerve to talk about the war on women and the bigotry toward women when she has a serious problem in her husband.

'I can think of quite a few women who have been bullied by Hillary Clinton to hide her husband's misogynist, sexist secrets.'

Of course, Trump's private life is also less-than-straightforward.

The three-time married businessman's first marriage, to Ivana in 1977, ended after allegations of an affair with actress Marla Maples appeared in the tabloids.

Trump and Ivana split in 1992 and within just one year, the billionaire wed Maples. Once again the marriage didn't last and they divorced in 1995. He is currently married to Slovenian supermodel Melania Knauss.

The presidential candidate slanging match began in earnest last week after Trump, in what might be the most brutal salvo in the 2016 general election, said Hillary got schlonged' by the current occupant of the Oval Office when Obama came out of nowhere to snatch the presidential nomination from her.

'Hillary – that's not a president ... everything that's been involved in Hillary has been losses,' he said. 'You take a look.

'She was going to beat Obama! I don't know who'd be worse – I don't know, how does it get worse?' he asked.

'But she was gonna beat – she was favored to win and she got schlonged. She lost. I mean, she lost.'

He also made comments in the press about Clinton's brief absence from a recent Democratic debate stage, when she was reportedly using the restroom, which he called 'disgusting.'

Clinton later said she 'deplored the tone of his campaign' which she described as 'bullying'.

'The inflammatory rhetoric that he is using to divide people,' Clinton said, 'and his going after groups of people with hateful, incendiary rhetoric.'

'I don't know that he has any boundaries at all. His bigotry, his bluster, his bullying have become his campaign. And he has to keep sort of upping the stakes and going even further.'

In an interview with the Des Moines Register, Mrs. Clinton added that Trump has 'demonstrated a penchant for sexism.'

Clinton's chief PR strategist, Jennifer Palmieri, tweeted: 'We are not responding to Trump, but everyone who understands the humiliation this degrading language inflicts on all women should.'

Trump hit back again, simply tweeting: 'Hillary said "I really deplore the tone and inflammatory rhetoric of his campaign." I deplore the death and destruction she caused-stupidity.'

There's a big difference and I think Trump does know how to play his cards on this. Most likely, in such a way that Hitlery digs her hole even deeper if she even tries to respond.
