In a speech to supporters in Mesa, Arizona this week, real estate mogul Donald Trump (R) called for a primary challenger to Sen. Rand Paul (R). The comments came amid a rant criticizing Paul’s chances in a presidential campaign. Trump: “Whether you like his politics or not, his father had a certain spark. … Rand doesn’t have that spark. And I love Kentucky, it’s one of the great places. But I don’t get it, how does this guy get reelected in Kentucky? I don’t know, is he going to be primaried? Is somebody going to challenge him? I mean we do want a Republican. He’s a nasty guy.” (Hotline reporting) Poster Comment: What he's really saying is... I'm dropping out, and endorsing Hillary! The presidential contender says doesn’t understand how Paul could get reelected.

If you ... don't use exclamation points --- you should't be typeing ! Commas - semicolons - question marks are for girlie boys !
about --- the senate election ! Are you moving to Kentucky with Trump? Trump makes himself no friends and wins no votes with this. Paul should drop out anyway. But this just insures that Paul's supporters will all go straight to Cruz and never vote for Trump, no matter what. Cruz is a lot smarter about playing the angles to grab the Carson and Paul folks. I think he grabbed most of the (tiny numbers of) Perry and Jindal fans too.
All 2% of them? ROFL I was a Paul supporter. A Ron Paul supporter. His kid is a disgrace to Ron's message. Every so often he says something right but it's more like an accident than an expression of his real philosophy. I'm voting Trump- to send a message to the DC establishment. I don't agree with him on a lot but he's the Perot of 2016. He better not drop out because of a wedding. The more the establishment hates The Donald, the more his polls rise.
He's mostly guilty of bad political judgment, possibly bad political advice. And 2016 is not going to be a year where his message will sell well. He tried to take Ron Paul's coalition of around 6%-8% of primary voters (not all of them Republicans with a lot of Truthers mixed in) and moderate the message to attract a large enough coalition to actually win some primaries. His minority outreach seems particularly useless even if he gets brownie points for the effort. Cruz can attract a lot more support from the constitutionalist wing of the Ron Paul supporters. Over time, as Paul has declined, Cruz has scooped up a lot of those voters, probably 80% or more of them. The declining Truther contingent will end up with Trump or with the Dems. Trutherism was always far stronger in the liberal Blue states to begin with, with nutjobs and malcontents like you. "Sending a message" has been demonstrated repeatedly to be a complete failure. No matter what, the pols will take any "message" the voters try to send as confirmation that they need to spend more, tax more, regulate more, offer more handouts, amnesty illegals, grow government in general. The message is never that the party must become more conservative in policy or legislation. "Sending a message" is a trademark of the "moron voter". That would be people like you. You mean, the outsider who entered the race so an unpopular Xlinton can defeat the GOP nominee? I might agree with that but I think Trump is a megalomaniac whose ego demands a run for the WH.
