GOP frontrunner Donald Trump told Breitbart News that Republicans in Congress “threw in the towel” when drafting the 2016 budget.

“The only special interest not being served by our government is the American people,” he said late Thursday night.

“If anyone needed more evidence of why the American people are suffering at the hands of their own government, look no further than the budget deal announced by Speaker [Paul] Ryan,” Trump said about the Omnibus spending plan, which will likely be finalized on Friday morning.

The budget allows $1.1 trillion in 2016 spending.

“To avoid a government shutdown, a cowardly threat from an incompetent President, the elected Republicans in Congress threw in the towel and showed absolutely no budget discipline,” he said.

“The American people will have to absorb higher deficits, greater debt, less economic liberty and more corporate welfare. Congress cannot seem to help itself in bending to every whim of special interests. How can they face their constituents when they continue to burden our children and grandchildren with debts they will never be able to repay? Our government is failing us, so we must do something about it. Who knows how bad things will be when the next administration comes in and has to pick up the pieces?”

The real-estate mogul said America needs a president that can hold Congress accountable. “It is time we imposed budget discipline by holding the line on spending, getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse, and by taking on our debt. To do these things, we need a President who can lead the fight to hold Congress and the rest of government accountable,” he charged. (1 image)

It will be interesting to see how strongly the repukes will fight Trump, after laying down for obunghole and letting him roll over them.

And it will be interesting to see Trump fight them, and how he will do it!

And it will be interesting to see Trump fight them, and how he will do it!

We already see it. They fight him for being "unqualified" - but he's more qualified than any Republican running against them: he became a billionaire successfully and now he's leading the pack to become President. What have any of them done their whole lives other than give speeches and collect bribes?

Trump will fight them by ignoring them - because they don't matter. The people who matter are (1) the voters - keep them happy, in part by insulting these politicians to their faces on national TV. See, we all hate those jackasses, so yes, Jeb!, Donald Trump CAN insult his way to the White House, because he is insulting crapweasels like you and the seven dwarfs standing next to you - we have you, and Trump makes fun of you for us. We love it.

(2) The other people who matter are the ones who have the actual power to give Trump what he wants on any particular thing. Example: Putin. To make a deal with Russia, he had to get along with Putin. He has to talk with Putin eye-to- eye and negotiate a deal that they both can live with. Not give speeches ABOUT "Darth Vlader" and the Evil Russian Empire, but sit down President to President and work out what needs to be worked out for mutual benefit.

Then he has to work with Congress. He's been bribing politicians legally for years to get his projects built, and that's just with money. When he has power of every kind, to give and to take away, he just be that much more persuasive.

Remember that none of the Congressmen he is dealing with have any principles. They all live on fraud. So if Trump plays the power game with then, it stands them to gain by playing ball with him, regardless what they may say before he gets the power.
