Texas senator and aspiring GOP presidential nominee Ted Cruz is widely depicted by liberal amnesty backers as a diehard enemy of their brand of immigration reform.

While Cruz voted against the 2013 "Gang of Eight" immigration bill and has strongly opposed President Barack Obama's executive amnesty plans, he has also taken positions that sound strikingly different from those of staunch amnesty opponents such as Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions.

Sessions, for example, has been sharply critical of expanding the number of H-1B visas, pointing to abuses in the program and arguing that it harms American workers.

But speaking with Javier Palomarez, president of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, on Wednesday afternoon, Cruz declared that "there is no stronger advocate for legal immigration in the U.S. Senate than himself," The Weekly Standard reported.

The Texas Republican pointed to his support for an amendment to the Gang of Eight bill two years ago that would expand the number of H-1B visas.

This is one thing that worries me about Cruz. I like him, until this kind of thing. Also, not comfortable with his wifes connections. It appears he wants to have his feet on both sides of the fence.

Sessions is one of the most honest men in the senate and capable of exacting insighte into foreseeability. If Cruz's positions differ from those of Sessions, that means Cruz isn't worth a shit.

He's down in front of Hispanic groups winking and telling them how he is going to support la raza.

Until NAFTA is repealed, the concept of "Immigration Reform" will forever haunt the USA. NAFTA will never go away, either.

Trump can't do squat other than enforce the current immigration laws consistent with the US Constitution. For him to do that, the US budget will SWELL BIG TYME and Congress gives preference to the US military which has little to do with immigration authority.

In other words, Trump is all HOT AIR because his "wall" idea will fail. BTW, the "wall" was authorized by Congress years ago. It was never budgeted however; hence it was never built. And, it will never be built.
