I don't like her, never did. Her personal style is abrasive and self-aggrandizing.
OTOH, Trumpmania starts to wear thin after a while, even for FNC staff that are used to harping on the same stories without any real new facts coming out day after day, sometimes for weeks at a time. It has to get a little dull after a while. I've noticed before that FNC staff seem almost happy with a big new news story, like the bombing of the Egyptian airliner or the downing of the Malaysian jet over Ukraine or the suicide pilot of the Lufthansa plane flying into the mountain. They finally seem happy to have something new to talk about instead of facing another dreary rehash of the same stories they had been reporting for weeks.
She's not as bad as Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity on PMS...
I think she's worse overall. I can stand Hannity for short periods, O'Reilly less so with his sad-ass regulars like Dennis Miller and Watter's World and the crusty CBS sidekick Bernie Goldberg.
Kelly is just abrasive. I don't often dislike media figures quite so viscerally but she is repellant. I feel sorry for anyone who has to work for or with her. I can't grasp why FNC thinks she is so great, any more than I can grasp why that idiot Sheperd Smith is the second-highest paid FNC news employee when I think he's obnoxious or useless, especially during any breaking news situation.
I remember Fox was showing a police car chase one day. It went on for a little while, and the perp pulled off onto the side of the road. He stood there for a second and then put a gun to his head and blew his brains out on live TV. This was on Shep's show, and I thought Shep was going to have a stroke as he was yelling "CUT, CUT, CUT" over and over again in a shrill high pitched voice, and FOX wasn't cutting away. I was LMAO. It was the only time I've found Shep entertaining.

Seems like kinda phony to me. FNC doesn't use a time-delay of at least a few seconds to avoid showing scenes like that? I doubt it.
I think the guys in the control room ignored him and decided to broadcast it no matter what Shep said. If the FCC or anyone else calls them out for it, they'll plead some technical failure and point to little Shep as trying to stop the image from going out.
This way, they have control and also deniability. And still get to show such scenes.
I think one of Shep's biggest blowups was that Balloon Boy hoax. And during Katrina when Shep and Jerry Rivers got caught out on that freeway bridge near the Astrodome of Death. A lot of damp wailing that went on for hours.

I believe after they came back after going to commercial, Shep explained they have a 5 second delay, but for some reason it didn't work as it should have.
As for Katrina, I kept wondering why Shep and all the other drama queens didn't just have their news crews bring in some sandwiches and bottles of water for all the people stranded there instead of walking around hand wringing about all the thirsty and hungry people.
