All I heard was "Democratic Socialism is when government invests (spends) money." Last time I checked we were $18 trillion in debt, so it seems to me we've already done all the "investing" we can afford.

Denmark did recently point out to Bernie that, despite his decades of unrequited love for Danish democratic socialism as a model for America, that they are in no way considered a socialist country. They proceeded to enumerate their well-defined and longstanding habits of market-driven capitalist economics. They do have a large public sector and a welfare state (but just for native Danish and no one else).
