Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) is ending his presidential bid. In an interview on Fox News on Tuesday, Jindal announced that he is suspending his campaign for president. "I’ve come to the realization that this is not my time," Jindal told Fox News host Brett Baier. Jindal says that once his term is up, he will go to work at a think tank, crafting conservative policy solutions to major issues. Once a rising star in the party, Jindal has failed to gain traction in the polls. A recent poll of Louisiana voters showed Jindal losing to Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in his own state, with Clinton gaining 45 percent of likely voters to Jindal 's 42% support.

One of four ineligible candidates finally dropped out. Only three illegal candidates with foreign allegiances left to choose from! There's still Cruz, Rubio, and Santorum. They represent Canada, Cuba, Italy. Marco Rubio in Cuba, contemplating going to the US and becoming a candidate for President. Do ya think that Cruz loved Castro? I only ask becasue he looks as though a mother hen is hugging his chick.

No, but it sure looks fake! There's little doubt that papa Cruz loved Fidel and raised money for him in the US. He held off on becoming a US citizen until 2005. Teddy kept his Canadian citizenship until 2013. There's still Cruz, Rubio, and Santorum. They represent Canada, Cuba, Italy. All are natural born U.S. citizens, pursuant to U.S. law, hondo's law notwithstanding.
The so called “high-speed rail line” would go between Baton Rouge and New Orleans .It would take 30 minutes longer than if you drove your car ;and you still need ground transportation from the train station to go anywhere. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

American - Ronald Reagan (Made in the USA, from US parts) Details of Stelly Plan[edit] Under the Stelly Plan, the state sales tax on food for home consumption and the sales tax on natural gas, electricity, and water for residential use was lowered on January 1, 2003, from 3.9 cents to 2 cents per dollar. Taxes on those items were then eliminated on July 1, 2003. To replace revenue lost through Stelly, individual income tax brackets were adjusted upward. Because individual tax returns for taxable year 2003 were not filed until after January 1, 2004, the withholding tax tables were revised, and the new rates went into effect on January 1, 2003.[2] Stelly did not affect local sales taxes on food. Only food requiring preparation at home was covered by the reduction in state sales tax. Single-use portions or restaurant meals were not affected by the Stelly Plan. Prescription drugs were already exempt from sales taxes, but Stelly placed that exemption in the state Constitution. Louisiana does not exempt over-the-counter drugs from sales tax, but such items are exempt in neighboring Texas. Stelly also allowed the tax owed by the individual to be distributed over the year 2003. The increase in taxpayer withholding was to have been the same as the savings realized from the elimination of sales taxes under the Stelly Plan. Taxpayers making approximately $80,000 annually saw increases in total state taxes.[2] Repeal[edit] After years of criticism from those who faced higher taxes as a result of the Stelly Plan, the Louisiana State Legislature in 2008 repealed Stelly. The highest income brackets were returned to the level they were prior to 2003. The tax reduction began in 2009, but the state revenue department did not alter the withholding on individual income tax tables until July 1 of that year. Hence individuals did not receive more disposable income in their paychecks until after July 1 unless they had individually requested that their employers adjust their tax schedules prior to July. The repeal of Stelly could cost the state treasury some $358 million in taxes for the 2009-2010 fiscal year and somewhat less for each year thereafter.[3] Hmmmmm... Vegetarians eat vegetables. You also have to remember that Louisiana over the years has been very politically corrupt. And who knows what is in the state constitution (Like money going to state colleges or state/local government retirement funds) that the "corrupt pols" put there that shouldn't be there which is causing the budget to be a bloated mess...
