Here is how: You must first find a Masonic lodge location near you, contact them, and ask for a petition.

------

There are 3 lodges located in the town of 10,000 people where I live. That's right -- 3 in a town of 10,000. And yet I never see any activity at all in any of them. I can't find anybody who admits to being a Mason. However, the grounds and buildings are always kept quite well.

I'm just sayin'....

And when I go to the mason website to inquire about lodges in my town, i get this message:

---------------

Sorry - Page not found

We are sorry, the page that you are seeking is not available or does not exist.

Do not worry though. We can get you back on track.

----------------

Does this have anything to do with the Jooz?

The Dangers of Free Masonry

The Masons will accept Catholics as members, but the Catholic who joins the Masons can't take Holy Communion any more. The Knights of Columbus have secret rituals, but they're very Catholic (the rituals, and the Knights also). Not the same thing, I don't think.

The Masons started for mischievous reasons. The Knights of Columbus were essentially the (armed) Catholic immigrant response to the KKK. The KKK fell apart over the years, and the Knights turned into the Catholic equivalent of a VFW hall, with really good life insurance.

We had a presentation on Purgatory today at Mass. Forgot a lot about that one too.

We had a presentation on Purgatory today at Mass. Forgot a lot about that one too.

Purgatory is in the Bible.

Purgatory is the English word for the prison in which you pay the last penny.

Matthew 5:25-26 “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.”

Matthew 18:32-35 “Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you? In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”

Christians, like all other men, are judged by God according to their deeds.

Matthew 16:27 "For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works."

God says so repeatedly in Revelation. Revelation 20:12-13 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Revelation 22:12 "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."

Striking Purgatory out of the Bible is a mistake.

Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

An example of praying for the dead, and the reasons for doing it.

2 Maccabees 12: 35-45 Meanwhile, since Esdrias and his men had been fighting for a long time and were exhausted, Judas [Maccabeas] called on the Lord to show himself their ally and leader in battle. Then, chanting the battle cry and hymns at the top of his voice in his ancestral tongue, by a surprise attack he routed Gorgias' troops. Judas then rallied his army and moved on to the town of Adullam where, as it was the seventh day of the week, they purified themselves according to custom and kept the Sabbath. Next day, they came to find Judas (since the necessity was by now urgent) to have the bodies of the fallen taken up and laid to rest among their relatives in their ancestral tombs. But when they found on each of the dead men, under their tunics, objects dedicated to the idols of Jamnia, which the Law prohibits to Jews, it became clear to everyone that this was why these men had lost their lives. All then blessed the ways of the Lord, the upright judge who brings hidden things to light, and gave themselves to prayer, begging that the sin committed might be completely forgiven. Next, the valiant Judas urged the soldiers to keep themselves free from all sin, having seen with their own eyes the effects of the sin of those who had fallen; after this he took a collection from them individually, amounting to nearly two thousand drachmas, and sent it to Jerusalem to have a sacrifice for sin offered, an action altogether fine and noble, prompted by his belief in the resurrection. For had he not expected the fallen to rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead, whereas if he had in view the splendid recompense reserved for those who make a pious end, the thought was holy and devout. Hence, he had this expiatory sacrifice offered for the dead, so that they might be released from their sin.

Purgatory is in the Bible. Q.E.D.

What does the Bible Say About Purgatory? by Erin Benziger

Question: What does the Bible say about purgatory?

Answer: The simple answer to this question is that the Bible says nothing about Purgatory. The doctrine of purgatory is not a Scriptural concept. We do, however, see much discussion in God’s Word about the only two destinations for those who have died: Heaven and Hell. Jesus spoke significantly of both, and yet there is never a mention of a third place, an interim location where man undergoes further purification. The concept of purgatory implies that Christ’s work on the cross was incomplete and insufficient to save us from judgement for our sins. We know, however, that the full redemptive work of Christ was accomplished on the cross just as Christ Himself declared, “It is finished” (John 19:30).

For believers, the end of this life will be the beginning of our eternal life with the LORD. We can see this in Jesus’ parable about the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31 whereby Lazarus was taken immediately upon his death to “Abraham’s side,” a common figure-of-speech for Heaven, and the rich man was immediately cast into torment in Hades. Paul assures believers in 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 that to be “away from the body” is to be “at home with the Lord.” Those who have been saved by faith in Jesus Christ may rest assured that their debt has been paid by Christ Himself and that their death will find them standing before God justified and glorified and welcomed into His kingdom.

[31] “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. [32] Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. [33] And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. [34] Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world, (Matthew 25:31-34 ESV).

It is my belief and opinion that vic gets a whole lot wrong. A whole lot.

No I didn't ping him I'm rude.

I have the identical opinion of you - identical.

That's why I have ceased communicating with you about religion.

I have always wondered what that verse about "having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof" meant.

It has become my opinion that you are the embodiment of that.

You deny the Bible is God inspired. You think it is of men. That you have to go and re intrepret stuff becuse you are smarter then God is. THat it takes your smarts to tell us what the Bible really means.

Like the made up unbiblican made up Catholoic belief of Pergatory. Made up. Non one verse. Not one. Not a single verse.
