LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Mysterious maneuvers over the Pacific are forcing a change in Los Angeles International Airport landings late at night, meaning noise for thousands of people in the flight path. LAX TO DEVIATE FROM OVER-OCEAN OPERATIONS TONIGHT THROUGH NOV. 12 (Los Angeles, California – November 6, 2015) Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) officials report that the Federal Aviation Administration’s LAX Tower indicates that the military airspace to the west of LAX will be active for one week, creating traffic route limitations and requiring LAX to temporarily deviate from Over-Ocean Operations. The deviations begin tonight, November 6,and continue through November 12. LAX normally operates in Over-Ocean Operations from midnight to 6:30 a.m., wherein aircraft arrive and depart over the ocean to minimize noise disturbance to the communities directly east of the airport. Active military airspace will require the airport to temporarily deviate from this air traffic flow configuration and to remain in westerly operations (aircraft arriving and departing westbound) for the next seven nights. As a result, persons living near the airport may notice a change in aircraft flight activity and associated noise, airport officials said. # # # # #
Instead of landing from the east over Inglewood, planes begin flying from the west and over the ocean to keep noise levels down, but due to secret military operations, the airspace over the Pacific is closed to incoming flights for the next week.
"We clearly understand that neighbors and communities east of the airport will experience noise and we apologize for that," said Nancy Castles, LAX public relations director.
The military is not saying what exactly is causing the change, and LAX claims it's also in the dark. Castles said all they know is planes can't be flying at low altitudes to our west.
Six years ago, ABC7 cameras captured a military operation in downtown LA. Helicopters were seen swooping between high-rises, close enough that residents were able to see armed soldiers in camouflage outside their window.
Authorities claimed it was part of a training exercise designed to ensure the military's ability to operate in urban environments and to prepare forces for upcoming overseas deployment.
What's going on this week is a mystery.
"And plus if it's a military thing it's a good thing, that means they're making it safer for us so I wouldn't let it bother me," said Steve Devosion of Inglewood. "I'd be more interested in them not doing something about what's going on than them doing something about what's going on."

A look at military installations near LAX should scratch the itch. When the military mobilizes for a training center rotation they don't even come close to LAX. "Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near"---Isaiah 55:6
Or maybe the Wild Fire pandemic finally reached the US. So avoid anyone with flu like symptoms. They 'turn' quickly and will be on you tearing apart your flesh.

That Chinese missile launched off the coast during rush hour wasn't a regularly scheduled event either. Stuff happens. I looked up Wild Fire Pandemic. What is this ripping apart the flesh? Humor?

Ok, thanks. We don't do the Walking Dead, vampire, or zombie movies. It's all pretty much tonque- in-cheek, although I have seen zombie killing personal defense rounds which are very low weight bullets driven at a high speed. I guess anything to make money.

ArsTechnica: Beach-goers seeking a romantic evening under the stars on Saturday in Southern California got quite a surprise. Shortly after sunset, a fireball overhead sparked widespread confusion and speculation. Was it a meteor, rocket, or, perhaps, an alien spacecraft? By late Saturday, it was confirmed to be a multi-stage missile test from a US Navy submarine. The military provided no advance information about a launch. However, in the immediate aftermath, some key clues did emerge. Earlier in the week, Los Angeles International Airport—which normally routes flights over water instead of nearby residential areas to reduce noise—announced it was temporarily diverting flights from sea-based landing routes to steer clear of air space requested by the military. Then, about an hour after the fireball was widely reported on social media, the Orange County Sheriff's Department tweeted that the light seen over southern California was "a Naval test fire off the coast." Later on Saturday, a US Navy spokesman finally confirmed that the fireball was, in fact, a Trident II (D5) missile test flight at sea from the Kentucky, an Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine. This Trident missile, which has three stages that matched amateur videos of the event, has a range of 7,360 km. It is part of the country's triad of nuclear deterrents, including land-based missile systems and manned bombers.

Of course, this is puzzling that they would close the sea approaches to LAX for an entire week just for a launch that took only a few minutes. So maybe this is a cover story for some Sinister Plot. : )
