“I don’t know that ‘hate’ is the right word,” Rubio said in an interview. “I’m frustrated.” This year, as Rubio runs for president, he has cast the Senate — the very place that cemented him as a national politician — as a place he’s given up on, after less than one term. It’s too slow. Too rule-bound. So Rubio, 44, has decided not to run for his seat again. It’s the White House or bust. “That’s why I’m missing votes. Because I am leaving the Senate. I am not running for reelection,” Rubio said in the last Republican debate, after Donald Trump had mocked him for his unusual number of absences during Senate votes.

In his own mind he's to big to be screwing up in the U. S. Senate. He's destined for screwing up much bigger things.
Jeb! could be doing really cool things, but Trump! Both Marco and Jeb! think that they're too good to be aggravated by a peon like, The Donald. He can't be bothered to do the job for which he was elected. That doesn't speak well for his truthfulness and dedication for his work. Or is it his job to further mess up Amerika?

Rubio was a shill for pro immigration when he was in the Florida legislature. He was stopped by term limits from doing more harm. When he ran for the senate he lied about his position to get elected. A career politician is by definition a power and/or money addict. Term limits and no pensions have to be added to election laws. Addicts are never satisfied and rarely give up their addiction voluntarily.
That's a really lame response . The frustration comes from the GOP majority not asseting itself under McConnell's leadership . But how often has Rubio challenged the majority leader as Cruz regularily does ? Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
I think this comment and attitude keep him from ever gaining traction. Trump is gonna win it all.
