TRENTON — Talking on a cell phone in the quiet car isn't permitted — even if you're the governor. Gov. Chris Christie on Sunday was booted from the quiet car of an Amtrak train after having "an intense phone conversation" on his cell phone, according to Gawker. A passenger on the train, Alexander Mann, told Gawker he was in the quiet car from Washington D.C. to New York when Christie got onboard. "He got on last minute yelling at his two secret service agents I think because of a seat mixup, sat down and immediately started making phone calls on the quiet car," Mann told the website. "After about 10 minutes the conductor asked him to stop or go to another car. He got up and walked out again yelling at his secret service. He was drinking a McDonald's strawberry smoothie." Christie's campaign offer an apology for breaking the "cardinal rule of the quiet car." "On a very full train this morning, the governor accidentally took a seat in Amtrak's notorious quiet car," said Samantha Smith, a spokeswoman for the campaign. "After breaking the cardinal rule of the quiet car, the governor promptly left once he realized the serious nature of his mistake and enjoyed the rest of his time on the train from the cafe car," she sad. "Sincere apologies to all the patrons of the quiet car that were offended." The governor was in Washington D.C. for a Sunday morning appearance on Face the Nation. Christie doesn't have a Secret Service detail. Gubernatorial protection is provided by a unit of the New Jersey State Police.

People thought that he would be the next big thing(pun intended) in the GOP. I think he would do worse than Romney! GOP and its desire to match the dimwitts on social issues is insane! Why would any repub vote for a half ass socialist when you can just vote for the real thing?

I think Christie has a much chance of being quiet as being thin. Ain't gonna happen. He's a big loud guy by nature. Christie is ahead of Graham and Pataki and Gilmore. That's because pollsters often can't find a single supporter of those three in a sample of 400 (or a thousand) GOP voters. I saw a clip of Graham offering to do weddings and bar mitzvahs in NH. He's lonely out on the stump. He dragged the Stain out a few times and that was even more depressing for them both.
