Vice President Joe Biden has decided to forgo a 2016 presidential bid, he announced Wednesday. "I believe we're out of time -- the time necessary to mount a winning campaign," the vice president said from the White House Rose Garden with his wife Jill Biden and President Obama by his side. The decision ends months of speculation about whether Biden would step up to challenge Hillary Clinton, the current front runner for the Democratic nomination and his former Obama administration colleague. Thus, -- today's oh so clever speech by Biden would allow him to come riding to the rescue as a viable candidate, while preserving the legacy of the Obama administration.

I'm not so sure about that. Face it,Slow Joe would not have been the ideal candidate to start with. Better than Bubbette! for sure,but so is Satan,so that's not saying much. I still don't believe the DNC wants the Bubba's anywhere near the white house because it is a proven fact that they can't be counted on to share the wealth. I look for Mrs Bubba to take a serious hit late in the campaign,and then see Goober Gore to step in and take over the reins as the Dim Contender. By then it will be too late for the alleged Republicans to launch an effective "Anti-Goober" effort,and voters will be reminded on a daily basis how he "REALLY won" the election instead of Boy Jorge,and got ripped off. Goober would be a tough candidate to beat with the media behind him pounding the "he really won before and had the White House stolen out from under him by the ebil Reputlicans1" drums,and his self-endowed title of "Mr Environmentalist". Face it,the Feebs and the alleged Justice Department wouldn't be looking into her emails or anything else without approval from the DNC. I personally think the fix is in to have Goober Gore come riding to the rescue when it's too late for the alleged Republicans to mount a campaign against him. Goober may be dumber than dirt,but he is a "good boy" that can be counted on to follow the orders of his paymasters,which is more than you can say for either Bernie or Bubbette!. I admire your faith that some government agencies respect the rule of law. I hope you are right and I am wrong. However every indication is the power elite are immune from indictment and prosecution. The age of the rule of law is passed. We are in the age of lawlessness. Biden did leave himself an opening to change his mind .He did say he will monitor the candidates from both parties and defend the legacy of the emperor. That was a signal to the Dem candidate (aka Evita ) to toe the line . If she strays far from the official party line then we may see the hammer of the FBI come down ;and Biden 'reluctantly' allow himself to be drafted . Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

I think you see too much in my assessment that it is too early to tell if Hillary will be Free and clear of all charges by Christmas. I heard no endorsement of Hillary by Obama or Biden. Biden repeated his shot at Hillary that Republicans are not the enemy, they are the opposition, referencing her debate snark that boomeranged. The Obama big money donors have not moved to Hillary. Who or what are they holding out for? With no indictment or prosecution, an investigation can continue to plague Hillary into next year. There is still something missing from this story.
Not really. The field was certainly cleared for Hillary's run to a nomination. However, there was no love or endorsement sent her way. This whole process has been weird on both sides.

Hillary has the LGBTQ community on her side and also runs strong with women. She runs catastrophically bad with men. I don't think the Dems can afford open range warfare within the party. Hillary is very polarizing and recall the PUMA movement from her 2008 run. They need party unity for the sake of down-ticket elections. Hillary has the DNC/Debbie Wasserman Schultz on her side, but there is a party fracture. The GOP is also facing a conundrum. The establishment wants to destroy the anti-establishment candidates (Trump, Carson, Fiorina, Cruz) but those four have now corralled about 65% of the poll votes. Every time the establishment hits Trump or Carson, they rise in the polls. When they are not hitting Trump, Bush sinks into irrelevance. Trump has so far been better at using the media than the GOPe media hired guns. The GOP fracture is more out in the public, but it is similar to the Dem fracture.

He is a personal coward so there is no way he is going to get belligerent with Hillary (he has seen how the Clint-Roids work up close),but let her get indicted for something related to the Ambassador death or the email scandal,and her support will drop like a rock. Another possibility floated by Monica Crowley last night is that the emperor has the blond hair /blue eyed native American Senator in the wings if the candidates get out of control. She reminded listeners of the July meeting between biden and Warren. Biden's claim that it was too late to jump start a campaign is bogus . The emperor has spent the last 12 years setting up a permanent campaign that is loaded with cash and a national organization in place. All he has to do is give the go ahead and we'd see how fast a Presidential campaign can kick start. I still think Evita's nomination is uncertain. No doubt the emperor will be watching her testimony today with interest . If she implicates him in any way she's toast . I don't think he cares what she has on him. He has to power of the executive branch at his disposal and he has already demonstrated that he's not afraid to use it.
