This article will be updated as more information becomes available. Local Oregon news outlets are reporting that 7-10 people are dead and at least 20 injured in an school shooting situation at a community college. The school, Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, is reported to have approximately 3,000 students enrolled. Local outlet The Oregonian is reporting that a suspect has been detained and that federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) are en route to the scene. Breitbart News has dispatched veteran reporter Lee Stranahan to the community college for live updates. Seven to 10 people are dead and at least 20 people were wounded in the shooting, Oregon State Police Lieutenant Bill Fugate said.

Wonder who the crazy white perp is this time. I see conflicting reports that the shooter is apprehended and others say the shooter is down. I guess I'll have to wait for the official story in a few hours.

The press conference with the high Sheriff was worthless. All he confirmed is that they were notified at 10:38 a.m. local time and the shooter engaged the cops and he was neutralized. No fatality or casualty info provided.

He confirmed that it's a gun free zone, and the only "security" was unarmed campus guards. Sitting ducks. At the end some woman reporter is hammering him about previous Roseburg shooting, and still no arms in the vicinity, IOW meaningful security. I may be impatient and it has been 12 hours now, why hasn't the shooter's name been released yet? I did see online speculation of a guy by the name of Toby Reynolds aka "eggman" on some site called 4Chat.com and may have telegraphed his intent online last night.
