Lyndon Johnson. accompanied by Bobby and Teddy Kennedy, signing the 1965 Immigration Act.

Half a century ago, Democrats looked at the country and realized they were never going to convince Americans to agree with them. But they noticed that people in most other countries of the world already agreed with them. The solution was obvious.

So in 1965—50 years ago this week—Sen. Ted Kennedy passed an immigration law that has brought 59 million foreigners to our shores, who happen to vote 8-2 for the Democrats.

Democrats haven’t won any arguments; they changed the voters. If anything, the Democrats have stopped bothering to appeal to Americans. The new feminized Democratic Party says, That’s too bad about those steelworkers in Ohio losing their jobs, but THERE’S A WOMAN AT A LAW FIRM IN NEW YORK CITY WHO DESERVES TO MAKE PARTNER!

Republicans should be sweeping the country, but they aren’t, because of Kennedy’s immigration law. Without post-1965 immigrants bloc- voting for the Democrats, Obama never would have been elected president, and Romney would have won a bigger landslide against him in 2012 than Reagan did against Carter in 1980.

This isn’t a guess; it’s a provable fact. Obama beat Romney by less than 5 million votes in a presidential election in which about 125 million votes were cast. More than 30 million of Obama’s votes came from people who arrived under Teddy Kennedy’s immigration law; fewer than 10 million of Romney’s did.

The 1965 act brought in the poorest of the poor from around the globe. Non- English-speaking peasants from wildly backward cultures could be counted on to be dependent on government assistance for generations to come.

Kennedy and other Democrats swore up and down that the new immigration law would not change the country’s demographics, but post-1965-act immigrants are nothing like the people who already lived here.

As Pew Research cheerfully reports, previous immigrants were “almost entirely” European. But since Kennedy’s immigration act, a majority of immigrants have been from Latin America. One-quarter are from Asia. Only 12 percent of post-1965-act immigrants have been from Europe—and they’re probably Muslims.

Apparently, the “American experiment” is actually some kind of sociological trial in which we see if people who have no history of Western government can run a constitutional republic.

As of 1970, there were only 9 million Hispanics in the entire country, according to the Pew Research Center. Today, there are well more than 60 million.

We’ve already taken in one-quarter of the entire population of Mexico, most of whom seem to live in Los Angeles. For the last decade, nearly half of all felons sent to California’s prisons have been Hispanic, according to the Department of Corrections.

In 1970, there were only a few thousand Haitians in America. Today, there are nearly a million. Miami beaches and New York parks are suddenly littered with goat heads from Haitian voodoo rituals.

In 1970, there were virtually no Somalis in the United States. In the past 25 years alone, we’ve brought in more than 80,000 Somali refugees—and more than half of those since 9/11. Recent headlines out of Minnesota: “Minnesota ISIS terror suspect pleads guilty to conspiracy,” “February trial date set for Minnesota ISIS terror suspects,” “The Twin Cities have an ISIS problem.”

(Possible new GOP slogan: “We’ll cut your taxes, as long as these voodoo priests and refugees approve it.”)

In 1960, there were about 200,000 Muslims in the U.S., according to a study in the International Journal of Environmental Science and Development. [PDF] Today, the U.S. census estimates that there are more than 6 million Muslims here. Muslims are expected to surpass Jews as the second-largest religion in America in about two decades.

No country has ever simply turned itself into another country like this.

With the media cheering the end of America and businessmen determined to keep importing cheap labor, Democrats don’t even bother hiding what they’re doing.

Democratic political strategists Ruy Teixeira and John Judis have been gloating for 20 years about how post-1965 immigration would soon produce a country where Republicans could not win an election, anywhere. Then Democrats could do whatever they want. They called the new emerging majority “George McGovern’s Revenge.”

In today’s America, George McGovern would be a moderate Democrat; Jimmy Carter would be a two-term president; and we’d be holding primary debates at the Walter Mondale Presidential Museum and Library.

Any GOP candidate for president who wants to increase immigration—i.e., all of them except Trump—ought to be required to first pass this simple test: Be successfully elected governor of California on a platform of tax cuts and social conservatism.

The Democrats got the voters—and the country got 9/11, Fort Hood, the Boston Marathon bombing, clitorectomies, an explosion of gang rapes, child rapes, sex tourism, slavery, voodoo, Russell Brand, billions of taxpayer dollars stolen in Medicare and Medicaid scams, an epidemic of heroin deaths, soccer, bankrupt school districts and hospitals, overcrowded prisons, and endless tax hikes to pay for all the immigrant services, as small town after small town goes all-Mexican, or all-Somali or all-Hmong.

The people coming in aren’t the ones exulting about “the browning of America.” It’s smug liberals who want America to be humbled and destroyed. The cultural left is overjoyed at the remaking of our society into one that is poorer, browner and less free.

These changes are entirely the result of government policies that were never debated, much less put to a vote. Americans have not been consulted on the question of whether to turn our country into some other country. Never mind what we’re doing. You’ll thank us later.

I know it’s gauche to consider what Americans want, but how about the immigrants? Presumably some didn’t come only for the welfare, crime and terrorism opportunities. They decided to move to the United States—not Mexico or Somalia or China—because they wanted to live in America. If our current immigration policies aren’t stopped, they’re going to wonder why they bothered. (1 image)

Hindsight they say is 20-20. Now that we're "here", it's rather easy to see how "they" have destroyed our country.

The "Ted Kennedys", "Barry Soetoros" and the democrat party is just the face of it, but it goes way past these rather stupid frontmen.

1. Control of the Teacher's Unions and thereby the schools (education). Public education has not been worth a hoot for at least the last half-century. The masses have been successfully "dumbed-down."

2. Subversives in government go at least as far back as the FDR administration. They were not only tolerated, they were celebrated. And anyone who "went after" them was marginalized and ultimately destroyed by the culture.

3. Lack of a viable opposition party. People seem to think that the republican party exists to be the conservative alternative to the democrats. Nothing could be further from the truth. Examples of the "R's" laying down for the dems goes at least as far back as 1960 - when voter fraud in several key cities and states handed the election to JFK. Heck, even before that voter fraud was pivotal to giving us LBJ. His first election in 1948 was due to vote fraud - hence the name "landslide Lyndon.

The term RINO is misused. The real republican party IS the McClowns, Romneys and Bushes. The rare conservative is the RINO.

4. Corruption of the mass media, culture, and Hollywood. These entities with few exceptions move in lockstep. Always liberal; always more government.

So now that we're "here" - now what?

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD . . . "

Lack of a viable opposition party.

There's a reason that this is, and conservative Republicans still seem to be too stupid to get it, so I will explain it.

It is very, very simple: in industrialized and post-industrial societies, a government-financed social- safety net is as necessary as a public road system and airports. Things like Social Security and Medicare and universal public education are not optional. They are necessary, or huge numbers of people will be destitute.

Republicans have never acknowledged that truth, which has left Democrats as the only ones in the field. So, instead of having a Medicare system that could have been sustainable, we have what we have. Instead of having a disciplined universal public school system, we have what we have. Instead of having Social Security as the universal pension system, we have what we have.

The Republican refusal to buck up to reality left the Democrats in full possession of the field, so we got what we needed, but it was badly designed. Had the Republicans been adults, it all could have been better designed, but they refused to acknowledge reality AT ALL, with bad results.

Worse, BECAUSE they refuse to acknowledge the economic reality and needs of the people, and asserted a perpetual war on the social safety net, they were kept out of all meaningful power for decades. That meant that not only did the Democrats get the New Deal, and Great Society and Civil Rights Act all passed - necessary things - but they ALSO changed the immigration law and did a great number of other, unnecessary, bad things.

Republican unrealism locked them out of power.

And even today, Republican unrealism looks set to lock them out of power again. Yes, Obama has been weak, and Obamacare is badly designed. No, the alternative is not to rip out public health insurance, Social Security, public schools, etc., etc. We are never, ever going to do that. If Republicans insist on being petulant, slow children and keep stamping their feet demanding things they cannot have, then that means more Democrats, with all of their weak structures and ill-designed programs.

Republicans have to change their minds on certain fundamentals, starting with economics. In an industrialized society, public education,. public health insurance, and public pensions are vital. Accept that reality, and focus on making those things good, and Republicans would rule forever. Keep on trying to kill and cut out the necessary, and Republicans will never rule again. Democrat rule is no great shakes, but Republican rule with no social safety structure would be Dickensian - and we're not going to chance it.

That's just reality. Republicans will either grow up to it and accept it, or they will stamp their feet in powerlessness and dwindling significance until someday the Democrat Party splits into two parties.

We're not going back to slavery. We're not going to abolish Social Security. We do need universal health insurance. Republicans eliminate themselves by standing against common sense.

At the risk of repeating myself, I'll state it again. The D vs. R paradigm is kabuki theater for the rubes. It's as fake as professional wrestling (in fact comparing it to wrestling elevates its integrity)

The D & R paradigm serves several things: it lines the pockets of the elites who inhabit the ruling class; it provides entertainment for the masses (in Rome they called it bread and circuses); it diverts attention from REAL issues and crises', to name a few.

I don't agree with you that it's "govenment's" role to create a welfare state - complete with cradle to grave health care, retirement, etc. etc. At one time we used to have a pretty good Constitutional Republic. It had a weak central government that did none of these things - it mainly focused on defending the shores and delivering the mail - other functions were left to the states.

But that's not even what I want to focus on. In fact, for the sake of the argument, I'll grant you your premise that it's gov'ts role to do this.

So - is that to say there's only one way? Have you ever considered that in countries you would consider socialistic pardises - that there are generally at least two (usually multiple) political parties?

And that's my point - we have no opposition party. You say the Rs don't want to do Social Security, Medicare and all the other wonderful things the democrat party has brought us over the years?

I say it's not that - they don't oppose them. In fact - what IS the official republican position? You probably can't name it - therein lies the problem.

Rs stand for . . . . absolutely nothing. I cited election fraud going all the way back to LBJs original run for Congress.

Republicans didn't fight it.

The election fraud that put JFK in the White House. Republicans didn't fight it.

The fraud that was Watergate. Repubs didn't fight.

The so-called war on women. The so called war on the poor. The so called war on the elderly. Heck, let's have a war on puppies and kitties.

You're obviously very intelligent - yet you buy into this. I challenge you to look further.

My point stands - we have no opposition party. I'm not sure what the Rs are or why they exist.

What is McConnell? Boehner? Other than playing the fools in the courtyard of the boy emperor and being foils for criminals like Xlinton, Reed and Pelosi, what do they do?

What are they there for?

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD . . . "

It doesn't make any sense to jump from the '65 Immigration Act to today without mentioning the huge effect that the Reagan Amnesty had by spurring a new wave of illegal aliens, as well as the huge chain migration of all the newly minted citizens families.

Even the best of Republicans, is no better than Ted Kennedy.

Another lame attempt to excuse the fact that the Republican and Democrat wings of the party work together to destroy America.

It's not all Ted Kennedy's fault, or all Ronald Reagan's fault. Neither wing of the party could do this alone, it's a TEAM effort.

That is certainly true. But if memory serves, ol Ted engineered that POS legislation. Maybe we should all meet at his grave, and all line up to piss on it. Could also bring some homeless "immigrants" and let them shit on his grave.

Reagan made a gentleman's agreement with congress to amnesty what would today a small number of illegal immigrants to get the issue out of the way and be done with it. No more amnestys. Congress (along with subsequent presidents) subsequently turned its back on the agreement and opened the floodgates to invasion. Don't blame Reagan. It was a breach of implicit contract based in integrity.
