Did you go through some of those links to other articles? Well I did and found out that Dyson was signed by the Blue Jays and came up through their farm system. He had health concerns a few years back and lost him through waivers, and now is coming back to haunt them...

No way that would have happened earlier in the year, 7 innings would have yielded at least 10 runs... Long game both BPs got a workout Rangers used 6 pitchers and Jays used 8. Key to Game 3 might be which starter lasts the longest before the call goes out to the pen... I would really love to know what was said between Kela and Donaldson in the 13th??? Good to see he has an attitude like Rougies... :) Game 3 starter is still to be Perez as far as I know so here is his stats against the Jays, not really much to go on...

If Banny keeps throwing LHers at the Jays that doesn't stand a chance of happening, going against the matchups works once in awhile but the percentages for success aren't good...

Guessing no one told the Jays that it's not a good idea to sell beer in cans . The Yanks charge $8-10 for a soft plastic bottle of beer . Then they take the top off so it can't be used as a projectile . At that price no one is going to waste a drop anyway. Had it been Posada or McCann behind the plate when Bautista did the bat flip and pose before rounding the bases after his home run there would've been a brawl at home plate when he crossed it .

Yank fans are calling sports radio and saying that if the Mets don't want to sign Murphy next year that there is an opening on the Yanks. Not sure about that . Murphy looks like he is one of those post-season phenoms that comes out of nowhere and just as quickly disappear. Experts who follow the Mets are saying that there is alot of his game that's deficient. But the Mets fans are calling in fretting about the team possibly not signing Murphy and Cespedes next year . They should just enjoy the moment and worry about next year in November .

11-8 Toronto win last night. I really thought the Royals were going to come back to win that one. Pitching matchup should be geared for a lower scoring game tonight.
Not sure about that... Dickie is beatable(11-11, 3.91) . Young is a flyball pitcher . The Rogers Centre gives up a lot of home runs. Good thing the Royals BP is well rested .

Yes I know Banister is watching this closely. If not he should watch and learn from Yost. Unless you have a shut down rotation like the young Mets, you need to go with the match ups. Wonder if the Rogers stadium concessions will still serve beer cans today?
All I can say is I hope he learned from that mistake, if not then next year will be disappointing too... And learn to trust some of the younger players more, some of the veterans stunk in that series...

Yeah he's a beast in this post season. His FA stock went up quite a bit.
That is if you're willing to pay him big bucks just because he had a 1 month hot streak, he's already at 8M per year. His stats during the season are about the same as they have always been...
His stock is up to at least be considered by the Mets for a qualifying offer. If he refuses they get a draft pick and he platoons around the NL like David Murphy in the AL.
The Mets may have other reasons for getting rid of him besides his performance on the field . Royals have more playoff experience but the Mets have a better pitching staff... Should make for some interesting games if the Mets can "hold their water"...
If you go position by position some teams have better talent than the Royals. Toronto is but one example. However, what the Royals lack in talent is more than by their play as a team.
Ok now that the World Series is starting tonight does anybody have any predictions as to who is going to win and in how many games??? I think it's safe to say Gary is going with the Royals, in what 6 or 7 games? I'm going with the Mets in 6, think their pitching will get the job done...
I'll take the Mets in 7 . I respect the Royals too much to go less. The thing the Mets have to realize is that the Royals do have success against hard throwing pitchers. The Mets pitchers on the other hand have done an excellent job with their seconday pitches when their fastball has not worked . The Mets power will be negated somewhat at Kauffman Field ,and the Royals have much better middle relievers . Having Colon and Neisse in the bull pen improves their depth somewhat . But ,Mets fans will be holding their breath in the middle innings if their starters can't go deep. The Mets IMHO have a big advantage on the bench ,especially if Juan Uribe is a go. They have been playing interchangable parts since the trade deadline. Position by position they are dead even with the Royals having slight advantages in some positions ( 3rd ,1st ,short ,and CF (and DH ) .The Mets have the edge at 2B ,and the 2 corner OF positions .Catchers are even. I'll give the Royals a slight advantage at manager because Yost took them to game 7 last year. As you said ;the Mets starters are the deciding factor . It's been a while since I've seen a 1-4 as solid. Matts would be a number 1 pitcher on many teams. Dare I say that with a full season they have the potential to be as good as the 1971 Orioles ? ( Jim Palmer,Dave McNally, Mike Cuellar , Pat Dobson all 20 game winners in 1970) . It's scary to think how good they will be when Wheeler comes back next year.
Which means as long as they realize this and use the off speed stuff wisely they will have success. Not too many batters can go into an at bat looking for both types of pitches, unless they know the pitcher likes to use certain pitches (without fail) in certain situations...

Pitching wise the Royals have the match ups if the starters can go 6 innings cause the BP is deep and shutdown capable, which was in evidence last night. I would have to say Royals in 5 maybe 6...
