That's right GarySpFc you can posit your Royals stuff here now:)

Well that took a hit last night they lost the game and their SS with a broke leg, wonder how this will affect them mentally it is a young team???

Still holding on to that hope it will be a Rangers-Mets WS:)

I would say not much at all they bombed the Dodgers last night...

If Banny keeps throwing LHers at the Jays that doesn't stand a chance of happening, going against the matchups works once in awhile but the percentages for success aren't good...

Holland pitching was high risk.

He's a fly ball pitcher.

Should have put Gallardo out there again.

Well I guess we will see if Hamels can keep bailing the team out. But they have to score runs too.

Was only able to watch a few innings yesterday. Noticed Beltre was back and got a couple of hits.

Cards out and Cubbies advance.

Mets down by 2 going to the 9th.

Rangers-Jays rematch of game 2.

It will be interesting to see how the Royals are going to continue one dramatic win after another.

That will be a fun game to watch. Both teams evenly matched.

Get the popcorn for Astros vs. Royals. Also the game 5 for Mets vs. Dodgers. DeGromm vs. Grenke. Doesn't get any better.

Well I guess we will see if Hamels can keep bailing the team out. But they have to score runs too.

If they would have run more RHers at them in Game 3 and/or Game 4 the series would probably be over... This is what happens when you don't use the good matchups you have to the fullest...

When Darvish comes back that will even out the rotation and make matchups easier to accomplish. Especially if they use one/two of the young'uns to make a 6 man rotation, keeps everybody fresher and gives the young'uns some innings/experience...

Also the game 5 for Mets vs. Dodgers. DeGromm vs. Grenke.

That "should" be a 1-0 or 2-1 nail biter, but in the playoffs all bets are off could end up being 10-9!!! :)

Noticed Beltre was back and got a couple of hits.

I would imagine they had him wrapped up tight and "maybe" on some kind of localized pain meds... That is one tough old bird I found out he played almost a full season with a torn ligament in one thumb before he ended up getting surgery to repair it...

Good points all around. I guess Chi Chi will have to pitch more until Darvish comes back mid summer 2016.

Colby and Gallardo FAs this off season.

Gallardo gets a qualifying offer. If he's smart he will take it.

Same with Colby.

And I'm not talking about a traditional rotation I'm talking about using the 6th man whenever needed to rearrange the rotation to get better matchups. He may start 15 games a year and be a long reliever the rest of the time...

Hat tip to Texas Rangers. Thanks for an exciting season. Sonny boy (now 11)...not so happy:) Had to console him that I grew up a Mets fan. I understand disappointment in sports quite well:)

Well Zig you get to start the Evis thread:)

Ace gets three ground balls can't get an out. Hey believe me I had such an inning with my youth baseball team this year. Difference was kiddos came back next inning with two doubles and one was by sonny boy knocking in three:)

That's baseball.

Good season Yanks and Rangers.

Zig (CZ) was right about the match ups. Should have had a RH starter in game 3 or 4 of the series in Texas. Lewis or Gallardo.

Well my assessment? The Rangers were one ace short of taking this series. Yu back by mid season next year. Rangers have some decisions to make on Lewis and Gallardo. If not it could be another down April. They basically have three LH starters.

Let's Go Mets:)

Guessing no one told the Jays that it's not a good idea to sell beer in cans . The Yanks charge $8-10 for a soft plastic bottle of beer . Then they take the top off so it can't be used as a projectile . At that price no one is going to waste a drop anyway.

Had it been Posada or McCann behind the plate when Bautista did the bat flip and pose before rounding the bases after his home run there would've been a brawl at home plate when he crossed it .

Talk about throwing a game away.

You could say that about any one of the Games 3,4 or 5.

This is so very appropriate... "We are advancing constantly and we're not interested in holding onto anything except the enemy. We're going to hold onto him by the nose and we're going to kick him in the ass. We're going to kick the hell out of him all the time and we're going to go through him like crap through a goose"!!!" (If that man was a Rangers fan he would be rolling in his grave right about now)...

They should be glad I wasn't in that dugout I would have said things the management wouldn't have wanted to hear...

Way to go Meties! 3-2 win.

I forgive you for all those heartbreaking years as a kid eating those lousy hot dogs at Shea stadium:)

I was on the fence as a kid . But growing up on Long Island ,and being taken to Shea stadium by my dad and the boy scouts I was inclinded to root for the Mets . Then they made a series of trades that killed my loyalty . The 1st one was trading Amos Otis for Joe Foy. Then they trades Nolan Ryan for Jim Fergosi . The trade that decided it though was moving Tom Seaver to the big Reds machine for a package that included Doug Flynn and Pat Zachary .

I am now going to be a front-runner and jump on the Mets bandwagon. For the most part they are a likable group ;and I'm a big fan of Jacob DeGromm . Yesterday he "struggled" and gave up 2 runs . The best Yankee pitchers gives up that many runs in the 1st inning .

Mets vs Cubs

These teams on paper look pretty even all the way across the board, ERA, BA, HRs etc, etc... So you would think it should end up being a close series with a lot of tight 1-2 run games. And I don't really see one team having the experience factor over the other so to me this is a tossup. It's to bad one of these teams has to lose but that's the way it goes...
