Hillary in a corner She’s on a suicide watch as her fibs and stretchers just keep coming By THE WASHINGTON TIMES Anot-so-funny thing is happening to Hillary Clinton on her way to the coronation. By this time she was supposed to be busy getting accustomed to the purple, looking forward to high times next summer at the Democratic National Convention in Tampa. She might have been thinking about what she would do about those carpets upstairs in the White House that she never got around to replacing when she lived there in that other century. Now she’s on a suicide watch. Will she continue to die the death of a thousand self-inflicted cuts, or will she — and the rest of us — be put out of her misery by an embarrassed and frightened party and an ambitious vice president who can’t believe the prospect of a second chance at a job he has lusted for, for so long. The pollsters, eager to get an early line on prospects for the November election next year, find that as of now Hillary would lose narrowly to Carly Fiorina, the onetime CEO at Hewlett-Packard, and shellacked by Ben Carson, the distinguished neurosurgeon. Nothing recedes like success, and prospects can change at warp speed, and public-opinion polls a year ahead of an election are no basis for a wager, but even a reasonably precocious fifth-grader can see that the lady is in deep, deep smelly stuff. Just when things can’t get worse, sometimes they do. The FBI lab has apparently recovered many of the emails she thought she had safely deleted from her private server. The courts and the Congress are getting antsy, and the Justice Department which, may or may not be afraid to offend someone who might still be the party’s nominee for president, leaks tidbits to the press that further disturbs milady’s sleep. Getting caught at telling fibs and stretchers once or twice is embarrassing, but getting caught at lying every day for months is devastating. Even if she avoids an indictment, recovery and a return to popular acclaim will be difficult and probably impossible. The fact that a retired doctor with no political experience but regarded as scrupulously honest is besting her in the polls is enough to convince even the most cynical political pros that black lies matter. Obama has her in his power. She CANNOT avoid an indictment if he chooses to indict her. He has been slowly boiling the frog, to make it obvious to her that she cannot win. Biden is not going to enter the race until Hillary is ready to bow out and give her support to him. There will be no divided Democrat Party going into this election. Obama is preparing Hillary for her exit. The only question is whether she will go quietly, or will fight. If she goes quietly, she will not be indicted, and she will be pardoned. But if she fights, she will be indicted, and the party will revolt and overthrow her and go over to Biden. Hillary would beat any Republican except Trump IF she were permitted to become the nominee. But that will not happen because it will not be ALLOWED to happen. The President has Hillary's balls in his hand. If she becomes President, she has power over him. He will never let that happen. If what Obama is doing works, Hillary will be destroyed in the press and retreat herself when the battle can't be won. But if she's stubborn, he will indict her (yes, I know that he doesn't technically do the indictment. But he controls the Justice Department, and there will be no indictment unless and until he clears it.)

The recovered formerly-deleted emails should provide interesting leverage. If Hillary were to become the nominee (and Obama muzzled the investigations), I still doubt Hillary could beat all comers. Currently Ben Carson polls the best, but I think Carly Fiorina would be a very formidable opponent. It is difficult to picture Hillary surviving a set of debates with Carly.

Precisely right. That's why the FBI went in and got her slicked files, and released/leaked that she deleted confidential information. Obama is not going to let Hillary clear her decks, but he's not going to provoke a fight within the Democrat party either, if he can help it. He's going to maintain party unity as they shift to Biden.
Whoever is wrong, someone will remind them. I dunno nuttin about Draft Kings or fantasy sports but the political prediction board is fun to look at. There is sort of a $1 cap to divvy up on a question or candidate. Totally unscientific.
