Before the ecstatic crowds that greeted the arrival of Pope Francis this afternoon, who knew that there were so many pious Christians in Washington, DC?
WASHINGTON A city accustomed to power, fame and traffic-stopping motorcades offered an ecstatic reception on Wednesday for Pope Francis, who waved to vast crowds from a special open-sided Jeep and kissed babies carried to him by security personnel.
Before the popes arrival at the White House on Wednesday morning, onlookers had been gathering for hours, with some camping out all night in hopes of a glimpse of white, the chosen vestments of popes.
One spectator, Anna Wolf, said she did not even believe in God, but by 5:39 a.m., she had been waiting eight hours to see Francis. I think hes just, like, bringing the truth back, she said. I respect him.
Who knew that Jesus Christ came to fight global climate change? Like the tail of a comet, todays Christianity is yesterdays liberalism in religious garb.

True enough. This is a miserable little pope, grandstanding for the crowds with his fake humility hokum.
However, he is suited to the role of the False Prophet who heralds the appearance of the Antichrist, in the same way that John the Baptist heralded the appearance of Jesus Christ. The Antichrist revealed in the Revelation will be a politician, a world leader. And the False Prophet shall lead the new global religion, the state church of the Antichrist's global government.
I once saw a presentation by the Seventh Day Adventist Church "proving" the papacy (not any one specific pope) was the AntiChrist. They had some neat little numbers trick demonstrating the mark of the beast was a code for the papacy. And yes, it was presented with 100% straight faced seriousness.

Just a modern variant. You can find exactly the same thing going back to the beginning of the Reformation as the early Protestants delighted in depicting the pope(s) as the Antichrist including some famous woodcuts.
Here is a charming page of a single woodcut with a flap from 1550, stored at the university of Bern. With the flap closed, it is Alexander VI, the corrupt Borgia pope. With the flap open, he turns into a hideous Antichrist. (You should click the photos to zoom in and see the artistic detail clearly.)
They actually showed some kind of pseudo-logical number unencryption method using verses in Daniel, Revelations, and maybe some other books. Evidently 666 could be unencrypted to mean Pope. They might even have played some Beatles records backwards, but I don't remember. It probably made perfect sense to Joel Osteen viewers.
I'm sure you've seen similar methods used to prove the CIA murdered Kennedy and the Juze blew up the WTCs.
