A sicko was convicted Wednesday for holding his ex-girlfriend hostage in Brooklyn for three days as he repeatedly sexual abused and beat the woman in front of her 2-year-old daughter. Alex Anselmo was found guilty in Brooklyn Supreme Court on a laundry list of charges for breaking into his former flame’s Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment on April 1, 2013, handcuffed her to the bed and violated her up to four times a day. “I was very scared and did not want him to do anything worse to me and my daughter...I did what he said,” said the woman who testified at trial. During the 72 hours of hell, Anselmo refused to let the child leave the room or give her "adequate food," according to court documents. "The defendant is a monster. He mercilessly tortured a defenseless woman and would have probably killed her if he wasn't stopped," said Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson. Anselmo, 31, cut tendons in her feet to prevent her from being able to escape, shaved off her hair, beat her with a metal rod on her legs and repeatedly lashed her back with a power cord, the complaint says. The sicko used his cellphone to take photographs of the woman’s stab wounds during the crime and searched the Internet on how many Xanax pills are needed to cause a death and on how to sterilize a woman, prosecutors said. The beating continued until a concerned neighbor heard the cocking of a gun through the door and called police, according to trial testimony. The 31-year-old woman was hospitalized for bruising and swelling all over her body. The jealous brute told authorities that, despite an active order of protection against him, he confronted her at the apartment when he searched on Facebook and found out she was had a new relationship with someone in Florida. Anselmo faces up to 50 years to life for the top charges of kidnapping and rape when he’s sentenced on October 1.

What the hell was he cocking a field piece? Anselmo faces up to 50 years to life for the top charges of kidnapping and rape when he’s sentenced on October 1. Not enough. The SOB needs a needle because sure as hell,some parole board is going to let him out in 15-20 years,and he will end up torturing and murdering someone. Yes,there are people you/society can take a chance on,but he's not one of them. Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012)
It's not even close. If the damage done to the victim is accurately reported, this guy shouldn't be breathing. But I guess NY doesn't have the death penalty anymore. There are three kinds of people in the world: those that can add and those that can't
