Early Friday morning, Patrick Solomon was out for a stroll. He had committed no crime and had harmed no one when Zanesville police officer Andrews pulled in front of him to block his path.
Solomon explains what happened next, As I was crossing Monroe, Andrews drove his patrol car up behind me at a high rate of speed, started to turn on Monroe, while I was still crossing. He then turned toward me, diagonally, and coming to a stop right beside me and blocking the left side of Monroe. Within moments, a second patrol car pulled in behind, blocking the other side of Monroe.
Obviously taken aback, Solomon says, Can I help you? Youre blocking the street here.
As Andrews begins to exit his vehicle he then says, Whats going on man? You alright?
Solomon just replies back saying hes out for a walk, and nothing is going on. He then says, Have a nice evening, before walking away. But officer Andres noticed that Solomon did not have shoes on, and apparently in a police state, this is grounds for asking for ID, Name, and Date of Birth.
Solomon then legally refuses to provide his name and ID. Although Ohio is a Stop and Identify State, Solomon was well within his rights to not provide his name. According to Ohio State Law 2921.29, a person must only give their name if any of the following are true:
(1) The person is committing, has committed, or is about to commit a criminal offense.
(2) The person witnessed any of the following:
(a) An offense of violence that would constitute a felony under the laws of this state;
(b) A felony offense that causes or results in, or creates a substantial risk of, serious physical harm to another person or to property;
(c) Any attempt or conspiracy to commit, or complicity in committing, any offense identified in division (A)(2)(a) or (b) of this section;
(d) Any conduct reasonably indicating that any offense identified in division (A)(2)(a) or (b) of this section or any attempt, conspiracy, or complicity described in division (A)(2)(c) of this section has been, is being, or is about to be committed.
None of the above criteria fit Solomons case as he had not committed a crime, and the officer had not accused him of committing a crime. But these facts did not stop officer Andrews from proceeding to violate this mans rights.
When Solomon asks again if he is being detained, Andrews replies, Yes you are.
When Solomon asks why hes being detained, Andrews answers, Till I figure out whats going on. Its not normal for someone to be walking around.
After three more attempts at getting Solomons name, Andrews then places him under arrest for Failure to identify. However, as noted above, the Failure to Identify law only applies in the presence of a crime. There was no crime. The arrest was illegal.
After realizing that he had arrested a man for a law that did not exist, Andrews then changed the charge after bringing Solomon to jail. According to Solomon, Having nothing to charge me with, a charge of disorderly conduct was manufactured sometime after my arrest.
The ridiculous abuse of authority in the video below is why so many Americans are fed up with police. As cops continue to put out the false narrative that there is a war on police, in reality the only war being waged here is on the citizens.
"However, as noted above, the Failure to Identify law only applies in the presence of a crime."
Not true. The Failure to Identify law applies when the law enforcement officer reasonably suspects the person is committing, has committed, or is about to commit a criminal offense.
And, need I say it, the police make three more enemies.
So, you ask, what will I do if my house is being broken into?
Throw them stones...

Wednesday November 30th, in the Year of Our Lord, 2,005 6,416 years or so after the fall of man
First I have to tell you a story. Monday's thought dealt with why we, as true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, must forgive. And why the heathens should thank God that He has reined us in by requiring us, not to clean their clocks at the least provocation, but pray for them.
Well, last night at around two AM, my wife woke me up. She said: "I heard something." I said "What?" She said, "It sounded like a person stepping on and crushing a plastic drink bottle." I said: "Where?" She said, "I'm not sure, but in the house."
That was good enough for me, I got up, put on my glasses, got a .38 loaded with six hydra shocks, left a loaded 12 gauge pump in the bedroom with my wife, and went about very carefully and methodically searching my house. Searching my house does not take long, it is ranch, and it is only 40X24. The livingroom, dinning room and kitchen are one big open space. So a careful search doesn't take very long.
Now, why am I telling you about last night, especially in light of Monday's thought on the command to forgive?
I'm telling you this to clear up any misconceptions about Monday's thought. There are times when you don't turn the other cheek, there are times when you have to put yourself between extreme danger and another. There are times when you have to be prepared to send another human to final judgement.
There are a few things you should come to realize by what I said, first: A .38 loaded with Hydra shocks is not a toy, those six rounds are designed to kill, period. Second, putting on my glasses at 2:AM has to make you understand that I was in no mood to argue, I was in the mood to find and eliminate the threat, the mood to protect my wife, regardless of the cost. And that is today's subject.
Protecting your wife regardless of the cost.
We are going to look at Scripture, for who cares what I have to say, it is what God has to say that counts. It is not me that Hebrews 9:27 warns you about, it is The Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus.
Let us go back to the beginning, day six of Creation:
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and He(God)took one of his(Adams)ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man.
And Adam said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.(Genesis 2:18-25 ACP/KJV)
Now notice: "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife:" Many will contend that Adam said this, I am not so sure, I'm inclined to believe God declared it. Why? Let's look at what God said while He was walking the face of earth as man named Jesus some 1,972 years ago:
And Jesus arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto Him again; and, as He was wont(accustomed), He taught them again.
And the Pharisees came to Him, and asked Him, "Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife?" tempting Him. And He answered and said unto them,What did Moses command you?And they said, "Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away."(Deuteronomy 34:1-4)And Jesus answered and said unto them,For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.(Genesis 1:27) For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;(Genesis 2:24)8And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
And in the house His disciples asked Him again of the same matter. And He saith unto them,Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.(Matthew 5:32)And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.(Mark 10:1-12 ACP/KJV)
So, here we have Jesus saying, "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;(Genesis 2:24)And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."
Now how important is all of that? And what does it have to do with why I was up and carry a .38 with Hydra Shocks at 2:AM?
One more piece of Scripture and then I'll, hopefully, tie it all together for you.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it; That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.(Ephesians 5:25-31 ACP/KJV)
OK, let's connect the Scripture and make my point. Back 6,416 years ago, the first husband had to make a decision, he had to decided whether to stand with his wife or stay with his Father. He, because God had declared it, chose to stay with his wife.
When Eve ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, she offered the fruit to Adam. Adam had a choice to make, he could reject Eve and stay with his Father or he could say, "Sorry Father, I must go with and protect my wife." Adam did as a man should, he left the home of his Father and stayed with, to protect, cherish and love, his wife. A man, not the Man, but a man for sure from Monday October 10th, 2005
Last night at 2:Am I was faced with a dilemma, a potential intruder in my house. Now, I live in rural Maine on a dirt road off the beaten path, people just don't walk into locked homes in the middle of the night in Maine. If there was an intruder in my house, he or she was there to do harm. No other reason. a look from the outside tells you we are not rich, the very appearance of our house screams: "aint nuthin inside worth stealin." And for anyone that really knows me, it screams: "aint nuthin inside worth stealin, nothin worth dyin over." Which caused me to know that it was not someone I knew in the house.
Just as Adam had to make a choice back 6,416 years ago, last night at 2:AM I had a choice to make as well. Was I going to talk, rationalize and maybe have to forgive someone for raping my wife, or was I going to do what ever it took to keep her safe. My answer was "What ever it takes, no one is going to harm my wife." I could have chosen a 9mm semi auto with ball ammo, I chose the.38 with Hydra Shocks, I made the choice, I knew what I was doing, I had decided this intruder was about to find the truth of Hebrews 9:27.
Yes, we are commanded to turn the other cheek, yes we are commanded to pray for our enemies, but we are also commanded to do for our wife what Jesus did for us. Look at what Jesus says will happen to those who harm one of us, one of His little ones:
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.(Matthew 18:6 ACP/KJV)
Ya, when the guy that hurts my wife stands before Jesus, he will find that it were better for him to have never been conceived, but, as I see it, it is my job, Scripturally, to send that guy to bend the knee before the Lord before he gets to hurt my wife.
Thank You Lord for once again letting it be a false alarm. And thank You Lord for the lesson that cleared it up for me. Amen.
"Just prior to officer Andrews pulling up, Soloman was filming a state trooper from across the street, when he began walking home shortly after."
He was doing more than filming. He even admits:
"I saw an Ohio State Trooper had a car pulled over, and walked down to get some video. By then, the victim had pulled away, the trooper posted up in an adjacent parking lot. I took the opportunity to troll him, calling him a road pirate. This led to my arrest a short time later."
